backpackant Posted August 24, 2009 Share Posted August 24, 2009 Ask the board for a parent club. If you are lucky you'll get Arsenal and get more quality loaned players in. Look for some freebies that are maybe getting on a bit, especially CBs, who are usually brilliant, even without pace. CBs up to about the age of 35 are good in L1 if you can get someone like Sol Campbell; FBs, midfielders, strikers, are still okay up to about age 33, but look at their mental attributes as well as the physical and technical ones -- I found in L1 that a physical, clever striker with 10 for finishing and heading is better than a weak, dumb striker with 14 for finishing and heading.
