milko
Is football manager optimised with multi threading? Will he works faster with an core i7 920 or with a e6850 Core 2 duo ? Thanks a lot
Egan
I'm running it with a 920 and it's pretty fast. I've only got my old p4 to compare it with, mind you. Don't know about multithreading, I'm not even sure how many cores it uses.
Torpy
Yeah, it does, you'll notice the biggest gains on days where the PC has to process a lot of fixtures (early FA Cup rounds for example). The i7 would be an excellent CPU for FM as it can handle up to 8 threads IIRC (4 cores + hyperthreading), it should be much faster than an E6850, which is only a dual core CPU.
