R-dizzle
At the end of the American Season (Or at the begining of a new one, whichever way you want to see it) All the teams in the MLS get to pick from a selection of new young players, similar to how they do it in the NFL, if you're familar with that.. I believe first pick goes to the teams who finished the lowest and then up to the champions who have last pick. Each team has 4 picks I think but there's a twist, teams can trade their draft pick with another team for a player. So say Columbus Crew want Donovan from LA Galaxy, they can offer their 2nd and 3rd draft pick for Donovan, with probably a small fee to go with it. I'm not 100% sure, I only played 3 seasons over there in 08 so someone else will have to back me up or correct me lol. It is good fun though, not as confusing as it sounds even though there are wage caps and limits on players etc. Edit: Yes, only in America from what I know.
