I remember in older versions there was an option to filter by country, so you could look at the transfers from a particular nation, or nations. I can't seem to find that in 09, as all it allows is to view every transfer from everywhere, and it would be handy to see when the bigger clubs let players go without having to sort through all the South American etc. transfers.
