How about putting Rotherham in the Don Valley Stadium from 08/09?

Also, Spartans are apparently the favourites to take the Scots Div 3 place, so perhaps it would be better to promote them.

I'll wait for confirmation about Spartans First. As for Rochdale, ill look into when they officially move into their new stadium (if they are). I want to keep it as realistic as possible.

Anyhow, July transfers are coming along nicely, if a little slow due to the high amount to input. Should be around 1200+ transfers input.

I edited FM08 for myself but decided it may be of interest to some other people. So here it is for you all. FM08 was edited on Mac OSX 10.5, so im not sure if it will work on PC.

I have not finished with the transfers, so this is only a TEST to see if there are any bugs or wrong doings. It would be appreciated if anyone could report errors. If there are any changes you would like to see please let me know.

The complete edit will be available end of July once most of the major transfers are complete.

FM08 – “The Future†Patch…

Version: 8.02 – The Future 1.0.0

The idea of this patch is to make it more interesting and to make it easier for clubs to purchase good players in the future. As you may be aware, it becomes increasingly difficult to purchase good players as the seasons go on, particularly for smaller clubs. During the process of playing FM08 it begins to get very difficult to purchase good players as their value is exaggerated. And is one reason why more world-class players will become available, to make it easier for you to snap up those wonder kids and sell them on for profit, or perhaps you will want to keep them!

It is completely fictional and a lot of it is unrealistic, however most of the changes that have been made are subtle. A lot of players have been added into the game to make more world-class players available and to allow smaller teams to have big name players come into the game. More transfer money is available to big name teams – based on their financial income. Plus much more!

List of changes:

-----------------------------------------

Up to date transfers for season 2008: May-June 2008 only.

*2Transfer Budget Increase (not specified)

Note: Budgets are fictional and are based on their last 3-years of revenue in real life. Do not expect realistic budgets!

The following teams have had substantial increases, in order:

1. Real Madrid CF

2. Manchester Utd

3. Barcelona

4. Chelsea

5. Arsenal

6. AC Milan

7. Bayern Munich

8. Liverpool

9. Inter

10. Roma

11. Tottenham

12. Juventus

13. Lyon

14. Newcastle

15. HSV

16. Schalke 04

17. Celtic

18. Valencia

19. Marseille

20. Werder Bremen

21. Manchester City

22. Rangers

23. West Ham

24. Benfica

*2 A proportion of Brazilian, Argentinean, Japanese and Mexican clubs have also had their transfer budgets increased. These are based on “the ten leagues with the highest revenueâ€.

-------------------------------------------------------

Hardcore Fan Percentage

A number of clubs have had their hardcore fan percentage increased from 0% to a maximum of 10% (out of %100). Around 60 in total have had this done. No more than 2 clubs have 10%. It’s been kept as realistic as possible.

-------------------------------------------------------

Future Players

Around 120 players have been added into FM08. 98% of these are fictional. They are based on players who have earned 100+ caps for their country and a selection of players from Pele’s top 100 of best footballers of all time, as well as a few players coming from poor nation countries. These players come into the game periodically between 2007-2020. The idea is to create more world-class players, thus, making it more interesting when purchasing and giving you more choice. Note: there are only a handful of world-class players from this list, to keep as realistic as possible. Some of the poorer nations also have some big names coming through the ranks. As with real life, some smaller nations do produce the odd gem of a player: George Weah, Etto for example.

--------------------------------------------------------

Training upgrades & Youth academies

Some clubs have had their training and youth academies increased. The changes are subtle. Some of these are based on real life but most are fictional.

-------------------------------------------------------

Player’s edited/potential increase

Around 100 players have had their potential rating increased, reflecting their real life potential, with the odd couple fictional. Most of these changes are subtle. Scottish players have had the most amount of increase. Some may see these as unrealistic as we all have our own view on players. After all the game is fantasy!

New Scottish Football Team

MyScotFC (do a google search to find out more about them) has been introduced into the game in place of Gretna. To keep things simple they have been incorporated into DIV 3, with St Johnston being put into the SPL, and Raith into Div. 1 and Elgin into Div. 2. ***STILL TO DO***

All i know is you need to unzip it then put it into your DB folder. Make sure it is the FM08 folder you are using as I noticed I had 2 different FM folders for some reason.

If it doesn't load check to make sure you dont have 2 different folders to store DB onto. To do this search for 8.02 and see where that is stored.

Thank you for the info on transfers I will update it as with most July transfers. Glad it works on PC also icon_smile.gif

Thanks for that. I think the game has Velickta with Hearts. Anyways at least he is the right place at the end icon_smile.gif

I am open for suggestions and any changes, so please feel free to note down anything you may want changed, or perhaps there are a few players (particularly those from Euro 2008) that may need changed.
