Player co ownership question

Just started a Juve save and have noticed that a shared player ownership between clubs seem very common in Italian football.

If someone could give a brief outline of how this works i would appreciate it.

To sign a player who is co-owned by 2 teams, the bidding club must seperately agree deals with both clubs in order to gain permission to talk to the player.

I think after two years of a player playing for one of the clubs, both clubs must then bid for him, and the highest bidder gains full rights to the player.

It seems to be particularly useful for using with hot prospects.
