Question on AI issue (FM 2019/2020)

First of all, I'm new here so want to extend an apology in advance if this is not the correct forum/sub-forum. Admins please move this to the correct place if needed.

Here is my situation:
As someone who has a penchant for playing with AMC/Trequartista in a 4-3-1-2 formation with narrow width, I found the FM 2019 game having a bad glitch with the AI that always tries to play wide and use the flanks instead of down the middle. It didn't matter what I changed with the tactics. The CMs just do not pass the ball to the AMC, they always pass to the wings - often losing possession. It was very frustrating. I read somewhere that it was a known issue. Has it improved with FM 2020 or do we think it will be fixed by FM 2021?
