"Diego is a man who has done it all and with his help, I truly believe he can turn us into not only the number one club in Serbia, but also a real threat on the continent" said president Svetozar Mijailovic. "He has a wealth of knowledge about football in general and he has the hunger to succeed at a managerial level" His arrival came with great fanfare where he was welcomed by over 20,000 chanting Red Star fanatics and ultras, who lit flares and red smoke bombs to signify his arrival. "I will make this club great again!" shouted Diego, via an interpreter, which was wildly celebrated on the streets outside of the Rajko Mitic Stadium. Speaking anonymously to Sportski Zurnal, A prominent member of the fans association said "Whilst myself and many others don't condone the violence you see here tonight, you can understand it! Across the city, Red Star appoint a world renowned icon where as we have to be happy that our new manage is a little known Englishman who couldn't cut it for the Crewe reserve team?" During a low key press conference, Mr Drezzy angered fans even further when he said "Going forward, this is a rebuilding mission. drezzy86 Posted March 9, 2019 Author Share Posted March 9, 2019 - When atoms collide - Serbia July 2017 FK Partizan 5 - 0 Ludogorets Partizan take huge lead into the second leg By Partizan.RS, Updated 07/17 FK Partizan Stadion: Att 30,633 Partizan took advantage of a timid Ludogorets team who were having trouble retaining possession and the deadlock was broken on 22 minutes when Miletic scored with a beautiful header. 10 minutes later, Ozegovic doubled Partizan's lead, converting Ivanovic's cross. Partizan added a third in the 37th minute when Jovanovic pounced on a terrible back pass, sliding the ball into an empty net. Partizan took their foot off the gas a little in the second half but Ludogorets capitulation was complete when Kosovic converted two penalties (59 minutes, 63 minutes) after two ridiculous hand balls. Neither team tried that hard, Ludogorets were on a damage limitation excersise whilst Partizan were happy to knock the ball around in their own half. Two goals either side of half time for the visitors, secured their passage to the next round of the Champions League whilst Ludogorets will be wondering how it went so badly wrong in the reverse fixture.
