fmhandheld_forum
The club I support and my favourite team to be on FMH. Here's all you'll need to know about them on the game. I have loaded only English leagues, so this is the low down on the club as it appears on the original database. Information: Full Name - Tottenham Hotspurs Second Team - Tottenham Hotspurs Reserves Nickname - The Yids Nation - England Status - Professional League Competition - English Premier League Continental Competition - Euro Cup Stadium Capacity - 36310 Training Facilities - Good Finances: Financial State - Rich Transfer Budget - £11.75 Million Wage Budget - £1'074'000p/w Current Wage Total - £1'022'000p/w Maximum Wage - £100'000p/w Current Highest Wage - £65'000p/w The Squad: Goalkeepers: Carlo Cudicini, Brad Friedel and Gomes. Tottenham have a good range of strength in depth between the sticks. Gomes or Friedel should be your number 1 choice with Cudicini a very good cup game goalie. Full Backs: Benoit Assou-Ekotto, Gareth Bale, Vedran Corluka, Kyle Naughton and Kyle Walker Not only do Tottenham have three good right backs, they're all very adaptable to different positions. Corluka should be 1st choice, he has experience and some very good stats. This allows you to use Walker as a back-up especially considering Naughton is out on loan for the season. With Assou-Ekotto more than capable of holding the left back role, Bale should be able to move forward to the left wing, calling Naughton back will give you cover for Ekotto. Center Backs: Verdran Corluka, Younes Kaboul, Kyle Walker, Sebastien Bassong, Steven Caulker, Michael Dawson, William Gallas, Bongani Khumalo and Ledley King. Again you can see a few familiar faces in that list, just showing exactly how versatile Tottenhams squad is. Caulker and Khumalo start the game out on loan, I would leave them there. Dawson, King, Gallas and Bassong should be the 4 you use for central defensive partnerships primarily. Kaboul and Corluka would be the ones to choose should you suffer an Injury crisis. Wingers: Gareth Bale, David Bentley, Aaron Lennon, Luka Modric, Steven Pienaar, Giovani Dos Santos, Rafael van der Vaart, Iago Falque, Niko Kranjcar, Danny Rose and Andros Townsend. Probably the strongest area of the squad is the midfield. Iago Falque is at Spurs on loan for the season, Bentley is out on loan for the season. With such depth already at the club Falque is surplus to requirements, therefore it makes sense to send him back to his parent club. Bale and Lennon provide the pacey outlay, for this reason you should have them as first choice.Pienaar and Dos Santos can provide the back-up. Rose and Townsend are young and have potential, either loan them out or try and flog them to raise some more transfer funds. Central Midfield: Tom Huddlestone, Scott Parker, Sandro, Jermaine Jenas, Jake Livermore, John Bostock, Luka Modric, Steven Pienaar, Rafael van der Vaart, Iago Falque and Niko Kranjcar Again another strong point of the squad, strength in depth is key when you have so many games ahead. Huddlestone, Parker, Van der Vaart and Modric create one awesome foursome. Sandro and Kranjcar are very good cover. Livermore and Bostock have potential but are unlikely to break through with the wealth of talent already there, again either sell them to raise yet more funds or loan them out for future use. Jenas starts the game out on loan, I wouldn't worry about calling him back. Strikers: Emmanuel Adebayor, Jermaine Defoe and Roman Pavlyuchenko Probably the are you are most lacking in. Pav and Ade provide good height and strength, allowing someone like Defoe to play off them. Adebayor is only on a season long loan. Therefore you should be looking to bring a couple of good target men and maybe another poacher type player in. Potential Transfers Out: Bostock, Livermore, Rose and Townsend Potential Transfers in: Leandro Damiao - Perfect target man like player, should do well with Defoe and similar strikers. Will cost about £15 million though. Kenwyne Jones - Another expensive import, this time he is accustomed to life in the premier league though. A player built in the mould of Adebayor and therefore the perfect replacement right? Gabby Agbonlahor - Seriously quick and a decent finisher to boot, this guy could be superb. Possible Tactics (before transfers): GK DR DC DC DL DMC MR ------ ML AMC ST ST GK DR DC DC DL DMC MR -- MC -- ML ST ST GK DR DC DC DL MR MC MC ML AMC ST I hope this helps you in some way. Tottenham are a good side ready to be pushed on to title contention, a fun game that should last a while due to the young squad. Best of luck.
