Turn the clock back 18 months or so... height of the pandemic, working from home mandatory, all but one other colleague furloughed... and I'm being paid to essentially play Football Manager for 8 hours a day, whilst occasionally nipping onto the work laptop and checking e-mails or performing a menial task to satisfy the boss.

So this spawned from a recent browse through the Data Hub and league stats pages last night... was interested to note that Ged Garner, one of my regular strikers, was one of the league leaders in xG... until I remembered that 3 of his 6 league goals so far this term were from the penalty spot, which obviously would be massively skewing his numbers. 

Stats websites such as FBRef help to remove this skewing by including the npxG (or Non Penalty Expected Goals) metric... how feasible would it be for the next iteration of FM to include npxG stats? 

Taking this question one step further - how much scope is there for the developers to include some of the other, similar stats that have become so prevalent in statistical football analysis in future instalments? 'Goal Involvements (per 90 mins)'? 'Expected Assists'? Anything else?

It seems the maximum you can fine your players for bad performance without them kicking up a fuss seems to be one week so what is the point of having the option of 2 weeks if it's only going to always lead to a player being disgruntled?

Good grief. How boring would it be if the superior team on paper always beat the inferior team on paper? This replicates what happens in real football. The 'magic of the FA Cup' is literally built on this scenario. Roll with it.

Hi guys. I am playing as Doncaster Rovers in EFL League One. Noticed around halfway through my season that opposition managers were able to make up to 5 substitutions in league matches. However, if I tried to make an additional sub after my third, I’d get the usual “You cannot make any more substitutions” pop up message.

I am running with a small number of real club name / competition name etc mods, as well as face packs, kits etc. Could one of these have interfered with the league rules, but only for my team?
