[FM21 - Extra Team Gets Relegated due to Affiliation]

Hi,

So I noticed in my recent test that for some reason, in one season 4 teams get relegated when the rules are set to relegate 3. I had no idea what is going on that is causing this issue. Initially I thought it had something to do with me removing some B teams but that's not the case when I unselected that B/C teams can't get relegated since none exist in the pyramid and the issue occured again via the editor through testing.

Then I checked the actual save file and this is why.

Anyway I can stop this from happening?

The season update date is set for 14th of June

With the final being scheduled for the same date 

As you are using the basic rules the playoff dates are being scheduled for you. So either move the season update day forwards a few days, or move the End date for the League back a few days

 

Also random bit of advice as i was looking around.  for the break periods you have it set as this

This will run the break from the Wednesday closest to the 1st of Jan to the Monday closest to the 31st, if you get rid of the week day it will always run 1st to the 31st

Same applied to transfer windows

Sorry, just being nosy, check you discipline rules, you will regret the yellow card bans of 2 4,6, no idea why this is the default but this has been the downfall of many a custom league, half the players banned after a few games

 

thanks for looking into it, regarding the advice on the breaks and windows. I will try again without the weekdays as that is my preference

can you specify which final positions in a league qualify for continental competitions?

Just curious are we able to make rules for administration such as points deduction or relegation to a lower league for going into administration?

Most of my experience is with using the basic rules for editing FM. I am tempted to start using the advanced rules instead but was wondering what are the pros and cons of using it versus the basic rules?

FM21 Question

FM19 Question

I've made a league playable however the history section of the league shows league finishes as 2018 but the new seasons show as 2018/19, 2019/20 and below those its 2018. is there a particular reason this is happening?

[FM19 - Player of the Month Award - Invalid?]

So i am starting to edit FM19 and noticed that all of the existing player of the month awards have invalid selected for award period? Will new awards work that are to be awarded per month?

I am in the process of adding all of the missing latitudes and longitudes for cities in Iran (FM19 btw). I was wondering, if it would be easier to do this via a lnc file instead of editing each city in the database?
