[MacBook Pro 2019 external monitor issue]

So after going through the "Move the screen across to the external monitor" 2-3 times the game now launches directly on the external monitor in full screen. Like it's learned the settings.

FYI tried one more time and this time the game did launch full screen on laptop screen even when external monitor is plugged in.

So it just seems that the reliability when using an external monitor is very random. Best of luck with the rest of the launch chaps, excellent work as always.

Don't be silly! As long as the game actually launches we are all good - as mentioned above - external monitors not officially supported. I was more letting you guys know as other players might run into the same issue

Just tried to re-launch the game again, and it doesn't launch. Not touching the graphics settings. Point taken about the main display.

When I re-launch the game a 2nd time now - it launches on the external monitor but only covers half the screen. Again, easily corrected by just toggling windowed mode and full screen mode. At least it launched this time. 

 

I had not touched any graphics settings other than this option to move it from one screen to the other using windowed mode.

I just tried unplugged my external monitor from my MacBook pro (where I had FM playing before) and it then launched on my laptop screen. Could this be related? Is there any more information I could give here that would help? Seems like the external monitor could be the issue....?

Yeah your system is one of the affected older AMD processors. We are investigating the issue, however as we're still sourcing the hardware before we can diagnose and provide a fix, it may take a little bit of time until we can address this.

Apologies for the inconvenience caused. We certainly hope to have it addressed in time for full release.

I have the same issue - tried to reboot the machine. It did start the first time after download but not since before and after reboot. I use a MacBook Pro
