I have, in the past, started unemployed and gone on holiday for a year. Then add a new manager and retire the old one. You get a greater variety of job options that way.

Repeated post from last year, now with FM24 out:
A couple of YouTubers have started saves as DoF. What they do is Give the AssMan all the duties of a manager and just do the duties of Scouting/Contracts. But, it doesn't work if you hit the big clubs. To do that simulation you would want to try to hire managers like Arteta. But he wouldn't come as the AssMan. Is there a way to mod the game so that you could set it up properly? Or is that a possible future feature? Obviously, in those teams that operate that way, the DoF has authority over the Mgr. Is that modable? A feature in the future? Sort of like OOTP Baseball in GM Only mode.
And no, I don't want to use the in game editor to make Arteta my AssMan.

what are his favorite tactics? Do they mesh with yours? At that level, if you're going to rely on him for help, that's an important question to answer.

Dynamics seems to have a need to be reworked. I got a monthly email from the board room assessing my job performance. They were disturbed by my lack of support among the players. When I looked at the overview of the dynamics, under atmosphere it said I had 2 players who are unhappy. Under Support it said a couple of players are unhappy ut that I have a strong influence over a number of players. When I went to the happiness tab, there is only ONE player unhappy.

I know we don't have hard data. But, my laptop is running out of its lifespan and I'm looking to replace it. What should I look at in the way of graphics and RAM so that I'm not caught with my pants down when FM25 comes out?

Is there a way to edit leagues to reflect this change? I am in 2026 in a long term career save in FM2021.

I have never edited anything in my life (and I date back to CM). So, if I were to manager in The English Championship FM 2021, is there a way to change the substitution rules there?

Yeah, I know. I use Flut almost exclusively. This is the first time I've ever seen this happen like this with a skin.

Just played my second match with that skin and it worked fine. Interesting compatability issue with Uruguay and or the club Penerol.

Anyone else see this. I really like Flut Skin Dark. I just started for the first time ever a save in Argentina. I've never done a South American save before, but was talking to my bartender at my favorite place who also plays FM and he recommended Argentina as an interesting experience. So, I decided to give it a try. I'm managing Rosario Central. Got everything set up and scheduled my first preseason friendly at Penerol (Uruguay). Got to the match, and the game hung up in a constant loop (in the dressing room). Posted on the Bug Forum and submitted a ticket to Sega. Turns out, the problem was with the skin.
I've never had a problem with this skin before, which led me to believe it was a club specific problem (Penerol? Rosario?) I'm about to play my second friendly (this time in Argentina) and I want to see if it hangs up again using Flut or not. Anyone else ever experience anything like that?

I had the same question for team/city stadiums. Wanted to add pics for those too.

Got it to work. Thanks. Like it.

I just tried to download your skin from FM scout, but the RAR Archive seems to be corrupted. It won't open. My 7-zip works because I extracted another skin (unnamed because I don't like it afterall) and the extraction worked.

Looks good. I have the Google maps Stadium pack and was waiting for a good skin for FM19. Where can I find a city picture pack? I've never seen that before and its a brilliant idea.

Not really sure what save to do as I like to have an "attachment" to the side I'm managing, or at least ideally it be easy to develop one. I am a Derby County fan so have done those saves to death and kind of want to see what FM Frankie can do. I have also done a LLM save with my 2nd team Nuneaton Town, and don't want to repeat myself. I'm also a bit bored of doing the pick a team and try and win the UCL as my only goal. Has anybody got any ideas as to an interesting team to use which I could develop a liking to but not just plod along to European success? I would kind of like to do a journeyman save, but again just plodding from job to job doesn't appeal, I would need a goal or concept, such as managing the Red Bull sides one by one. Thanks
I did my annual beta save with Stoke City FC. I jumped out to a 12 point clear lead by Christmas, before ainjuries took their toll. But now that the full game is out, I feel like doing something different. I like one of two types of saves: Either Journeyman saves starting at Division 2 in England. This year, I'm thinking Grimsby may be the one for that. Based on an article I read, they were the recommended D2 team to play. The other scenario I like is a fallen giant. I found Germany boring, so although Hamburg would be interesting, I'm looking elsewhere. AC Milan would be a neat save. I haven't done a Serie A save since I won the Champions LEague with Roma in FM10. Marseille has never completely bounced back from their match fixing scandal years ago. I haven't decided yet which way to go.

Not necessarily. Dave. If its a smaller issue, not seeing it again doesn't mean it was fixed. Seeing it on a list would increase confidence in the game. Don't get me wrong. I've been buying this game since CM01/02. I'm not one of these guys who wants to throw the baby out with the bath water.
Here's another thing. I live in the USA, as you can see if you look at my profile. I am an officer in the local American Outlaws Chapter. I Am constantly proselytizing about how much better this game is than FIFA to my Outlaw brothers. Telling them to grow up and play an adult simulation, not an arcade game. One of the things I've told them about in the past is how much work goes into the game every year. This would be more evidence.
Why are you trying to argue with me, any way? What's this to you. Who cares if YOU are bothered by my request. I wasn't directing it to you.

Well. in my case for a couple of reasons.
1) There are alot of things that I might not like, but didn't consider big enough an issue to raise. To see that fixed would be a good thing. It would also demonstrate to those who constantly whine about SI not doing enough to fix the game, how wrong they are.
2) I'm not a professional gamer. I really only play two computer games. So I don't approach games as a competition between me and the game, if that makes any sense. I can sometimes learn something new about the capabilities about the game by reading the fixes.

Wow. Since I posted to whine about injuries, 8 pages have come and gone! I appreciate the non-snarky feedback some of you gave me. I accept that there has been no changes to the injury occurrences within the ME. So, Iaccept that dispite even more big injuries since then, I'll chock it up to bad luck.
Feedback. I really like this ME overall (other than the injuries). There seems to be alot less "fat GK" moments (former Llamas will know what I mean). The players seems to have higher IQs now. THAT is a positive development.
Looking forward to the official release. I would love to see a list of the final "fixes" post-BETA release. Will that be happening?

I've played this game going all the way back to CM 01/02. I've never seen anything like this. Its not the number, its the severity. They're ALL devistating long term injuries. two weeks into the EPL season and I picked up another one. Whelan out three months. 8 of my 24 registered players are out A MINIMUM of 3 months. I don't necessarily think the number of injuries is too bad, its the severity of every one of them thats aggravating. I may go back to FM16 and wait for the fix.

I've been playing this game for years. FM17 is the first time I've seen injuries like this.
I am managing Stoke City. We are still in the run up to the start of the season. I have 9 players out injured right now. Half of them are AT LEAST 4 months out. TWO are 9-10 months. This seems way worse than the past games. Tell me I'm wrong. (Straight man set up)

It shouldn't only be for LLM. And maybe the game designers ought to reexamine that position now that people that push their product have started to play it that way.
