    I am managing Atlabara in South Sudan, as well as controlling the national team, using the league made by arabfm (it's got a few scheduling bugs but overall it's not terrible). There's a few good reasons I chose this nation to experiment with youth rating.

    South sudan has a decent enough population (13m)
    Game importance is set at very important
    The youth rating is insanely low at just 7 therefore tons of room for growth.
    The economic factor and FA financial are both at 1 so obviously the country is incredibly poor which is a massive hindrance, however, there are plenty of other nations similarly poor with youth ratings at least 30 points above South Sudan.

    I don't have an editor so I've just save scummed where I can to get rapid club & international success, taking care to recruit the best players from my intake and train them as well as I can. I've won the african champions league 3 years straight and earned enough money to get the following ratings:

    Junior coaching: 20
    Youth facilities: 16
    Training facilities: 10
    Youth recruitment: 17

    In terms of the national team, we started ranked in the 160s and now ranked 68th. Qualified for 2 straight african cup of nations, getting 4th place in the last one. U20 and B teams both been successful (the B team won the CHAN, which is the alternate african cup of nations for players based domestically). So success has been incredibly good but not game breakingly so.

    The year is now 2028. The youth rating started at 7. Did it change? Yes it did.

    It's now 5.

    I'm so sorry but I laughed soooo hard with the last sentence!

    ONTOPIC: I feel that's actually sad that it dropped, nonetheless you did see movement in the rating something i can't even say for my san marino save.

    It's clear now. A possible increase of YR can only be related to national team(s) performances.
    (I have modified facilities for TNS / Wales and Linfield / N. Ireland so that both have the best possible facilities, 20/20/20/20. I have also modified budgets so that both TNS and Linfield have minimum £ 20 million to spend. Conclusion : YR is not influenced by the facilities level, players quality level, or club's national / continental performances).  
    Maybe someone thought that by winning the championship and winning some (more) Champions League games he could get the an YR increase. No, not by far. In fact, these performances are of no importance. What matters is "something" about national teams. Maybe that manager has to take over those national teams and get the best possible performances ?

     

    Thank you for testing this. I was thinking my database had an error because of the youth rating not changing (san marinese challange). So the NT has to do all te work, I understand.

    In terms of top talent when you get to Serie A - the only thing that changed things for me was qualifying for the World Cup Finals - I had a dual keeper who at the time was with Italy U21 - but I asked before I picked the World Cup squad and he accepted.  He went on to be a world class keeper - so amazing that I got him!  You can try holding back players a bit - but I had a left back who developed really well even without me trying and I lost him - for him to get only 14 Italian caps :mad:.

    If you have any dual players who accept - play them in a qualifier/Nation's League game sharpish and then they will be locked in.

    Yeah I know, I meant that the youth rating for the national team hasn't changed although I have really good results with my team in the san marinese league.

    Sometimes you just can't tempt Sammarinese players to represent the national team, I've had players get 2 international caps and then jump ship to Italy, they sometimes come back a few years down the line once they've not made it into the Italy setup.

    Then maybe it goes super slow or it doenst recognize the evolution my sanmarinese team is making.
