Back in the summer I was excited at the thought of getting back into football manager after a hiatus of many years. I didn’t have a pc and couldn’t afford a laptop so I was looking to buy a new device to play FMTouch that was no more than £200
I had a look on the forums for suggestions and decided to go for a huawei media pad t3 tablet as the feedback was good and it was on the comparable devices. WORST PURCHASE EVER. It was completely unplayable, memory was terrible, graphics couldn’t handle 3D match engine, loading was so slow, it took 20/30 mins to get through a match on 3D due to it being slow and laggy, touchscreen was off which was so frustrating when it came to selecting a team, processing speed was so bad.
I had to reluctantly stop playing as I’d have to give up an hour to have two matches.
Today I decided to splash out again to get my FMTouch fix and I bought a Nintendo Switch Lite for £200 and oh my god what a difference. It’s the same game but set up well specifically for the switch. Moves so smoothly, super quick, 3D engine is flawless and clear, controls built in so touchscreen isn’t necessary. So happy to be able to play again!!
Moral of the story - if you want an affordable device to play football manager. Don’t mess about with tablets and don’t assume that because it’s on the compatible list, it’ll work well because it’s not a guarantee. GET THE SWITCH! It’s flawless
