FM20 was the first ever series that I can recall SI releasing two post January updates for, hence my question asking if the same will happen again this year?
The first of those updates was the 'January Update' (20.3.0), which was released on 20/02 and the second was the 'Winter Update' (20.4.0), which was released early March.
This was a strategy which was most welcomed, myself included.

Will there be two updates this year, just as there was last year, when a 'January Update' was released in Feb and a 'winter Update', which came out in early March?
I appreciate you might not be able to give guarantees on this, however, is there the possibility that you will adopt a similar strategy this year?

Tricky to say. I think, basically, you're not into the new season yet if you are still in May or early June (fixtures are generated in late June).... by then, new fixtures won't be out yet, you won't be in pre-season yet, so the next season is a "future season"
To me, a save in that position would be most compatible to any change that affects future seasons
Hope this helps!Thanks Tony. Well I'm in late June now and pre-season has already started, although the fixtures are due for release the following day. It's worth noting that I've already had the leader boards come up, which usually appear prior to the start of a new season.
Although the fixtures have yet to be 'released' I'm guessing that I maybe screwed for the forthcoming season, on the basis that the fixtures might have already been generated within my game, so to speak, and all that is left for them to do is now appear on the schedule page. Would that be correct?
Again, I hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the reply. However, I was referring more to the data update side of things. Last year you released two updates post January, one being titled 'January Update' (20.3.0) and the second 'Winter Update' (20.4.0).
Will you be taking a similar approach this year, purely from a data update perspective, so two post January data updates again, rather than just one, as was always the case in years prior to the last?

Thanks again for the update, I really do appreciate it. Last one from me...... the last point at which I have saved is the night before the new fixtures are due to be released. Will that mean that any possible fix applies to those fixtures or will the fact that I am so close to them being released mean that the fix won't take affect until the following season?
I hope that makes sense and that again, you are able to provide me with an answer for this?!

This might be one for Neil.....
Is the plan this year to once again release a January Update (21.3.0), later followed by a winter update (21.4.0), as was the case last year or has a decision not been made on that yet?

Thanks for the reply Wolf. Fully aware that you can do what you have suggested, I'm still just curious if you can do what I asked in my original question, through use of the in-game editor?
I'm hoping that someone can confirm this for me, one way or the other, as I don't want to purchase it before somebody has done so?

A quick query with regards to the in-game editor, for those that have it or have used it previously.
Is it possible to make yourself the manager of any club, in any league that you have loaded, at anytime? For example, if I were to start as unemployed and then decided that I wanted to take over at a particular club in say October of that season, is it possible to do that?
If so, do you then receive all the introductory e-mails, after installing yourself as manager of that club, as you normally do when selecting a club at the start of a save?

In terms of the 'Real World' mode, it would be good to know if this applies to managers ins and outs, as well as transfers. For example, will Neil Warnock start at Huddersfield, with Darren Moore then taking over in September?
