Well then they should make you pay for searching in the first place, make it a real tough decision as to whether you go down the intermediary route or not. As it stands at the moment it feels totally unrealistic to me. Basically as it is now the DoF goes out to various intermediaries and they just come back and say "no we won't be able to sell him" without even attempting to do their job as an intermediary and find any potential interest?

My implementation (if possible in the coding) would be DoF goes to various intermediaries with player X, you get a list of said intermediaries that are either local, regional, continental, worldwide and you can choose which level you go with. Each one has a cost for shopping around/drumming up interest in player X, for ease sake £10k, £20k, £30k, £40k, and you pay that up front for them to go around and shop around/drum up interest, then there is also their intermediary fee for an actual sale (like 2%-5% or whatever of the fee).

If they don't or can't garner any interest in the player, it has still cost you £10k or whatever to hire the intermediary to go out and look for interest in the player. I don't feel like in real life a whole host of intermediaries would just come back to you straight away and say sorry we wont be able to get any interest in that player without actually going out and looking for/drumming up interest in the player.

    That's just my take anyway.

Very nice. That`s whan I`m talkin about. Hope the developers hear us)

Intermediaries aren't guaranteed sales. They make it easier to get rid, but if you have a player on high wage compared to his skills, then they will not find offers either. I've had players I got rid of easily, but I've also had players who I didn't manage to sell. Intermediaries just makes it easier as long as there are interest. You can't force a club to buy your player.

Is is clear. But what is the purpose of using an intermediary, when there is an interest independent of them?

The use of intermediaries gives you a better chance of offloading a player, but it's not guaranteed. So it's working as expected, as in real life sometimes nobody is interested in taking your cast offs, hence why there are hundreds of free agents available at any given time.

Hm, but nevertheless i should see a screeen with the interemediaries offering their services for a fee as it is pictured in the screen. Didn`t find, ok. But the even don`t try to. It is their job to search for a interested club for a fee.

  4. Hello.

I have a problem (may be not?) with selling via intermediaries.

I started the game and wanted to sell a player. First i used the option to talk to the agent, he said there are no interested sides. Then I decided to try an intermediary, who told me that there are no interested clubs also. But I`m curious isn`t it supposed to be a job of intermediary to find interested club for a fee?

The screen bellow is from https://www.footballmanager.com/features/introducing-intermediaries-and-offloading-players

I have never received the offers in the way pictured by the screen.

Is it a bug or am I doing smth not right?

No, because they only play 38 league games in the Premier League. 46 league matches in the leagues below. Besides, most PL teams don't play in Europe. Besides, PL teams don't play in extra cups such as the Papa John's Trophy.

Man I understand this, but playing 2 matches a week for sunderland and liverpool is a huge difference. I played both and I tell you... the fatigue in sunderland is accumulated more heavily. In the same surroundings.

What style of tactics? Route One?

I don't know much about tactics, it doesn't interest me. However, the preset Gegenpress 4-3-3 DM wide works very well in FM23 - IF you rotate enough. Always keep everybody fresh, most of the time only start the same player once a weak.

And IF you use all your five subs relatively early, at the 70th-ish minute at the latest, probably best at the 60th minute. Again, to keep many players fresh, prevent fatigue etc.

Intersting, i have user tactic with possesion footbal focus (4-3-3 wide), but home page says my tactical style is route one.

If there is a difference, it must be because of more matches per season, so less rest days between each match on average. 38 league matches in the Premier League, 46 in the leagues below, including League One. Plus, League One is the worst when it comes to this. Teams there also compete in the Papa John's Trophy, and they can potentially go semi-far in the FA Cup and the League Cup. So a League One team can easily play, say, 55 important matches per season.

On a further note, in such leagues as League One, I always have at least 20 outfield players in my senior squad (and two keepers). And besides those 20+ players, I regularly use youth players, in case of fatigue, low match sharpness, injuries, suspensions etc.

Resting your best players, rotating heavily, using bad players, is much better in the medium to long term. Non-fatigued players just perform much better. Not least in the Gegenpress tactics which depends heavily on fresh players who can run a lot during the match.

EPL teams have Champions league etc... it seems the fatigue is more. don`t know why.

If you rotate enough, fatigue is not a problem, regardless of the number of matches per season.

Gegenpress is even more brilliant in older versions like FM21

But what is the reason for fatigue to be more of a problem in league 1 than in premier league?

No, I play them in FM 21. I thought the topic is about FM 21 Sunderland.

By the way i also use 1 player a week. Nevertheless I mentioned that fatigue is more severe in League 1 England than in Premier League? Does it have something with players stamina lower in average than in Premier League?
