[Retain Work Permit]

Hi everybody,

I don't know if anyone has already written something about it, but I have a few questions about Work Permit.

The rules of getting a Work Permit for a new player are simpler because when you are negotiating, FM tells you if there are no or little chances of getting it.

 

But what are the rules of retaining a new WP for a player who is already playing in your team?

1) The player has to be granted a new WP every year?

2) If your team is playing in EPL, what percentage of minutes does he have to play for your team to be granted a new one?

3) Minutes in Europa League, Champions League and English Premier League count as the same?

I do find myself accepting loans for the prospect players, which leaves me short when injuries and suspensions kick in, so I was trying to reverse that trend recently and keep them around more.

I'm reading your post as they look very interesting to me. I've Bradford City in EPL now too.

Though we use different tactics (mine is a 4-4-2), I'm curious about squad rotation: how many players do you use?
I've seen that "impact sub" players can play 50% (even a bit less) of the total matches and be happy, while "important players" have to play around 75% of the matches to be happy.

So I have (for my 4-4-2):

- 2 goalkeepers (one "1st choice", playing almost every game and one "back up" playing some easy match)

- 7 defenders
                         1 DR "sub", 50% as a DR
                         1 DRC "important players", 50% as DR + 25% as DC
                         3 DC, "two" sub playing 50% each as DC + one "important players" playing 75% as DC
                         2 DL "sub" playing 50% each as DL

- 7 midfielders
                         2 MR "sub" playing 50% each as ML
                         3 MC, two "important players" playing 75% as MC + 1 "sub" playing 50% as MC
                         2 ML "sub" playing 50% each as ML

- 3 attackers
                        2 SC "important players" playing 75% each
                        1 SC "sub" playing 50%

 

I've this scheme in mind every time I buy new players, because, after the first season (when I did no market), almost everyone was unhappy (even though we've reached promotion).

With this scheme everyone is happy

Hello everyone,

after years and years playing FM, finally I have a breakthrough prospect (5 stars, and I've checked his potential ability that is very high) in my team.

My training facilities, Youth Facilities, Junior Coaching and Youth Recruitment are average (my team is Bradford City, just promoted in EPL, after 2 more consecutive promotions).

Which kind of advice can you give to get the player best development?
