I was confused there - when I first read it you'd only given me the first answer! Haha

    Anyway:

    1. I like this idea - my only concern would be if Ayesa gets annoyed by the lack of game time, but it protects me in case Gil has a shocking run of form
    2. I'm 100% aligned
    3. I'm definitely shifting Aguirre to the right but I'm completely undecided on López still... I suspect you're right on game time though
    1. If I could find the right loan for Gil then I think this would be a good idea, but he isn't attracting any loan interest. I've asked the board for a new loan affiliate so I'm hoping they find a suitable non-Spanish club
    2. Same as Litmanen then and I agree with you both. I definitely have other guajes who can come in. Hugo Quiñones would be the first option
    3. I just can't decide on this one
    4. I feel you're right on Mouriño. Rosas is just too injury prone to rely upon. The problem is that I don't have many guaje centre backs to pull on so was keen to get Mouriño into the centre
    5. I like Escribano as a squad option because he can cover a few roles and won't moan about game time because of his rep. I think keep him around but prioritise Elvira for game time is the option

    Perfect!

    4. Whom else do you have at CB, you could also rotate Mouriño when Rojas is healthy if he's needed at CB.
    5. Keep Escribano, he's well rounded and he's not moaning then there's no reason to sell. I like keeping players like him around.

  2. - Dilemma 1:
Keep Ayesa. Loan Gil, it would be great for him to be loaned out to a team that might be in an European competition so he can get the extra game time.

    - Dilemma 2:
Sell Molinas. Keep Mario Martinez, if you any another newgen Guaje that he can split his time with then it would be perfect for his development and you can kill two birds with one stone.

    - Dilemma 3:
I think you've made the right decision to start Aguirre. I would sell Diego Lopez and give him minutes to the rest of the Gaujes.

    Extra dilemmas:
    - Move Mouriño to RB.
    - Sell Escribano, he's great but he's 22 and Elvira is already better than him (attribute wise) at 19 y/o.

So I did this and instantly the Youth Facilities option has become available.

And now I'm left with a conundrum. In the second tier, we had 4* youth facilities and were able to improve our training facilities to 4.5*, plus max out our junior coaching and youth recruitment. Then our youth facilities were downgraded due to technological developments. And clubs with the same reputation as us (3.5*) have up to 4.5* youth facilities (Girona).

I think I'll stick it out until the end of this season and see what happens. Assuming we get another rep boost then hopefully it should sort itself out. If not I may revert to the in-game editor.

I was in the same situation in my save, but once I was properly in LaLiga, the board was happy to upgrade my facilities.

The B-team situation has to do with rep, as well, luckily your team got promoted right away.

So instead I'm going to do something I've never done before and transfer my wage budget into the scouting budget. This will give me a £276k scouting budget and allow me to improve our scouting range to 'Europe'. Even if I do this for just one season, I can get my scouts out around the lower reputation leagues gathering knowledge about as many players as possible - which I can then feed into my statistical views and, come the end of the year, bring in the 3 or 4 players I think we'll need to take that extra step towards promotion.

And once we're promoted, we should naturally extend our scouting range anyway. The only gamble is the obvious one that I need those transfer funds - but having trimmed the squad to a total of 30 players and allowed the high earners like Plet and Helmer to leave, our wage outlay is a mere 50% of the £26k per week allowed. So worst case scenario - I just re-assign some of that wage budget into the transfer budget and bring in an emergency signing.

This all makes a lot of sense to me and I think represents a pretty minimal gamble. Given the game style, I need scouting knowledge more than anything right now. The board need us to finish mid-table only and I'm extremely confident that we'll meet that target comfortably with the squad at my disposal. Playoffs are my aim - preferably through winning one of the stages. Playoffs and a couple of statistical targets.

This is the same approach I had to take while in Sweden. It's definitely a gamble and I'm paying for it right now. I began scouting tons of players after being promoted. I then realized that I needed to stop scouting as I was going to over spend and even after cancelling the reports I am now over the scouting budget by -£56k haha

I spent £28k in the first season in the 4th tier. Now in the 3rd tier, I've spent £107k with 9 matches left in the season. Hope you don't make the same mistake that I've made. I guess the only good thing that came about is that I now have lots of player scouted once we're promoted to the 2nd tier.

    July 2027

We have managed to agree a few deals for player to join us in the winter, all are ex players of mine and all are free signings at the end of their deals. We have some players leaving at the end of their contracts so they're all filling gaps in the squad that will become vacant.

    image.png.e0bcf09a73db0b3dcbcf5d4b7a624329.png

We seem to be on course for 2nd place with 15 games left and we couldn't have asked for a better start to my tenure here.

Dan, awesome job mate! I love the fact that you were able to bring in some of your old players who were maybe never really going to make it at Flora. It will be fun to see how they develop as more important players at Tartu.

Side note, can you share the kits at Tartu?

Thanks mate. I'm starting to see the youth come through. The issue becomes turnover of talent then we don't want anyone stagnating.

I like what you're doing though, by not letting your talent rot. Even if the senior first team player is having a decent season.

I'm not sure if you mentioned it before, but I like that the U21 are in the pyramid and it avoids loaning out your players.

    September 2024 Youth Intake

Another potential golden generation and according to the HOYD Maksim Kait and Nikita Raudsepp are already first team quality with 2.5* Current ability. Kait could be a potential Karibov replacement long term if he gets snapped up. Raudsepp could be a potential to fill our weak spot of depth at right back. With the U19s winning their title both the U19 and U21 will be in the second division next season so these players will get a good introduction to senior football.

    sin6.png.267fe22dac28dd8fc9386ddfe528b47e.png

Kait has a good base of attributes to start with aged 16, the low determination is a worry but for a winger I can overlook it. His physicals already look good considering he still has time to grow and improve here.

    sin5.png.1ec5894f39604b23e1a7801dd0ff0302.png

At just 15 Tamberg has plenty of time to grow, his mentals already look good. His physicals are an area for attention but he has 5 years before first team football on his side.

    sin4.png.77e8d8c1270f4e441e1e9299fc1b0766.png

Parn at 16 is already behind Kait despite his better personality, He will be an U19 player with an eye on to drastically improve him across the board.

    sin3.png.19da0611976dfebca2a19c99d50ef967.png

With our U21s Goalkeeper potentially being promoted to the first team this winter, Pareiko is a timely addition to the youth set up and will likely be promoted straight to the U21s.

    sin2.png.b0a0537d9480055c949579cab14ad124.png

We are light on striker options but I don't think Madissoo will be the answer but he will hopefully grow into a useful squad player.

    Sin1.png.28b51fccbb12992d755432c50dfd400d.png

His technicals and physicals need improving but I'm happy with his mental attribute base. His fickle personality is something I hope to improve too.

Following the addition of these players I've gone out and signed a few best of crop from other Estonian clubs. I have thought this over if I'm doing the right thing for the nation by snapping up the best talent but I think I am. The clubs are getting an instant cash investment now for players they will likely not use for a few seasons. and if they improve and get a future transfer they get another cash investment from the 40% sell on fee in the future, And I believe I can develop players better than the AI.

    ninloigo1.png.63d30815f0ad2ff25027c8817633a36f.png

First in the door is Left back Loigo, He technically needs to improve but has a decent base of mentals and physicals to start with.

    NOMM.png.f38a7a4e0ad2dc063625872c553de330.png

I mentioned above about a lack of strikers so Nomm joins us. Dribbling and composure aside I like the look of him already.

    oinBARANOV.png.75e2a6fa84824e1d4e49f4162c566a4c.png

Theres a potential for 1 or at least 2 of my U21 Left midfielders to get promoted to the first team this winter so a welcome addition here. Physically he has a good base to start but we will look to get him developing elsewhere asap.

    oinlarsson.png.8f837b2d15a4dd5e6113b1d220728168.png
    oLARSSON.png.294c7c05f02e83ac26536b65364a077d.png

A lower league team intake player. With our U19s looking like they will need a GK he looks like a decent pick up. potentially a long term back up keeper for the first team.

    oinROMANENKO.png.2fb8fe6b95fdf085fd0a6f30562a2aa5.png
    OROM.png.33c08ccbe390c6886c5f516511401e5d.png

Another option on the left side of the pitch we give our U19s an option. His physicals and technicals look decent enough we just need to work on those mentals.

    OINSIID.png.89112805e6a5257ce35aa1c12a57c8ad.png
    OSIID.png.ef021a905be8feaa29eb942388598edb.png

And the final youngster is Siid who looks the most first team ready of all the new recruitments. physically he looks the part already. A year in the U21s will see how he suits senior football.

Overall a potential €1.12m investment in Estonian football spread between 6 different clubs plus potential 40% of any next sales. We've strengthened the youth set up teams with both in the second division next season.
We will review all 3 squads at the end of the season and see how they look going forward for next year.

Phenomenal business, developing these youngsters will surely payoff soon!
