I couldn't see anywhere what the rules are about pre-agreed signings from before you arrive. Can you play them or do they have to sit in the reserves?

People always say its because I holiday inbetween games but what do people do inbetween games that makes that much of a difference?

I praise and criticize training, I praise good performances after the games.

I have always left training to Assist Man

If you get them when you don't holiday it can sometimes happen with young teams.

Somehow managed to get promoted by winning the promotion play offs! The team was pretty much carried by about 4 regens that came through on my first intake.

Pedro Martins was still my best player this season in the centre of the park.

This regen is probably the best player in the squad now and at this level any pace is massive. My assistant manager rates his potential at the same level as the top league so i don't think i'll be able to hang onto him much longer.

Still getting reasonable intakes but this was probably the weakest one so far. I haven't been able to upgrade any facilities due to going into debt.

This season was much worse due to losing a number of players who didn't want to sign or the chairman accepted bids for. I really struggled with centre backs as i only have one who is decent in that role. I plan on retraining some CDMs into CBs.

Had another youth intake that looks promising though a few of those can immediately come in as back ups. 

Pedro Martins still performing really well for me and is my standout player.

The other two I don't recognize so probably regens.

I'm really weak at CB now with only Moca being above 1 star rated in that position so will pray to the intake gods they give me some CBs lol

Tshabalala as chairman stepped in and accepted £180k and two youngsters Pedro Pedro and Tiago Salgueiro. I believe that the two youngsters could have been regens as they were both 17 when they left. Something happened with their contracts once they were able to go pro but they didnt want to sign anyway

I've had 3 of my best players sold or leave on a free at the start of this season so i'm not as hopeful lol. A few youth players will have to step up a bit earlier than expected

Completed the first season in Portugal. 4th is a solid season however i was never truly in the race to qualify for promotion play-offs. 

Much of my success came from these two players

Had a solid looking youth intake but i know all these early ones always look decent

Started in Portugal after the league change as Freamunde.

 

The whole squad was on amateur contracts but I have 1 mil in the bank and 19k on wages so i expect to sign all of the apart from Tshabalala who is wanted and won't  negotiate.

Board expects me to be mid-table so fingers crossed we can achieve that.

Average Training & youth facilities will definitely help along with Adequate academy coaching and recruitment.

I looked into my players determination dropping and the solution I found was to get as many good personalities into the squad as possible.

Basically it's thought that squad personalities especially with young players always move towards the average for the squad.

I'm going to sign every good personality intake for like the next few years and see if it then drags the squad personalities up. Whilst selling/releasing all the bad personalities that aren't my very best players.

My players determination keeps dropping so although they will start with decent personalities they end up at balanced after a few seasons.

I'd guess that this is caused by the team leaders being balanced personalities but this is only because they had the same thing happen when they first came into my team going from decent personalities to balanced.

Anyone got suggestions on how to prevent this from happening? I can't really sell all the team leaders as they're mostly my better players.

My new hoyd griezmann has a better personality and reputation so fingers crossed it was just a few weaker intakes.

I changed my last one as I kept getting keepers and fullback all the time not something that's easy to stop. 

I foolishly sold a few of my better players that had a second player also in that position assuming my intakes would stay good.

I changed my hoyd and now feel like my intakes are alot worse. Does changing them have a big impact on the following intakes or is it just variation in the luck of the intakes?

Been playing this challenge with CS Sedan for 5 seasons now and have managed to get into the second division. 

I'm assuming it's normal to have one or two players each year get unsettled and bought by the bigger teams? I'm hoping eventually that the players that don't leave will slowly bring up the quality of the whole team.
