Thanks again for the help. This nearly solves the issue but for some reason whenever I test the rules it can only ever find 6-7 teams out of the 8 required.

I have the Top Playoff set up for the child competitions and tried Qualification Rules in addition although it made no difference. In the Teams section for the parent competition stage I have it set to Get League Stage Teams for each child with Top Position set to 2 and Bottom Position set to 5. I've tried everything I can find but nothing seems to work unless it's wrongly still trying to get the 1st place team involved.

Another question I have is how do I specifically arrange for positions 2nd to 5th to qualify for the playoff? I don't want the 1st place teams involved as they have their own playoff for a separate trophy.

So I have a top division consisting of 50 teams divided into 2 leagues of 25. I would like the teams which have placed 2nd to 5th in each league to enter an 8-team playoff at the end of the season to determine which 1 team will qualify for a place in my newly revised Club World Cup. However I am struggling to create such a playoff which involves teams from 2 different leagues with the same parent competition. Anyone know how to do this?
