[FMTouch 2019 - can't manage reserve squad?]

Hello all - I posted this awhile back but never got a concrete response. Hoping someone can help out. 

Playing as Swindon in Sky League 2. My asst manager keeps playing the wrong reserve players and also way out of position. 

I've gone into responsibility settings and there is no setting to change for management of reserves. Am I missing it somewhere?

I've setup tactics in the reserve tactics page but then when the games sim, they go with some other terrible tactic (one that my senior squad doesn't even use) and play the worst players. This is really killing my ability to get some young guys playing time. 

Any suggestions? Again this is FMTouch 2019.  If someone could confirm if this is a known bug it would be helpful. It's killing my experience. All my good young players want to leave now. 

[FM19 Manual? Unclear instructions for player inst, reserve squad, etc]

Hello FM gurus,

I've played FM for at least 10 years now but this is my first foray into the mobile game (FM Touch 2019).  So... it could be i'm running into limitations of the touch version.  I've searched high and low for these answers but haven't found concrete answers.  I started a world and have completed first season - taking Swindon Town to promotion without losing a single match!  However, now in second season need some help to tidy up the team.  I've tried googling/forum searching and also using the in game help menu.  Is there a game manual somewhere?

1. When managing player tactics, if I try and edit the players individual tactics, I am often restricted from changing things. For example, I have a good center mid who likes to attack. He has good finishing and long shots. The basic settings for CM-A have a hard coded setting for "shoots less". When I go into that individual players settings, it won't let me select "shoot more often". It's not "selectable" in any form. What am I doing wrong? I go to tactics -> player -> select the player -> select "personalized", then click "edit". The next screen shows the shoot more option but it won't let me select it/its not "clickable". What syntax/command am I missing to open this up?  

2. How do I manage reserve tactics? The game appears to be forcing me to use the same tactics as the senior squad. This is stupid - especially if I am trying to develop a player in a position that my senior squad doesn't use today. I've even gone so far as to create a senior squad tactic called "RESERVE" and then i'll open that one up right before a reserve squad match and verify everyone is where they need to be in the reserve tactics page.  Then the match completes and the report indicates they ran a COMPLETELY different tactic with everyone out of position.  (and losing terribly every time)  What am I doing wrong?

3. player position "green circles" effect.  What is the expected effect of playing a player in a role/position where he is half yellow circle?  Is the effect something along the line of "assume all attributes get a 10% hit" or is it worse?  This would be helpful to generally undersatnd in order to determine player A with high attributes but "low circle" vs player with average attributes but "green circle"

4. player position "Green circle" training.  How long to get a player to get a full green circle? ways to speed it up?

5. youth teams.  will i get one this year, or do i need to be promoted in the championship?  any insight would be helpful.
