    Avast. That doesn't seem to be the problem. has never been an issue before. I have uninstalled steam, reinstalled, and it still will not open (after I changed the download region to australia)

     

    I have FM and Steam as exceptions. Steam will not open since I changed the download region to Australia. When I put in my password, it closes. I can see it disappear from 'force quit applications' when I type in my password. previously Steam would open but FM would not.

    By any chance you have anti-virus installed on the Mac?

  3. Ive solved it - Left click on your desktop. Click Go at the top of your screen. Then Go To Folder. Paste ~/Library/Application Support/   go to Steam.  Delete ONLY Steam.AppBundle Delete Steam from Applications folder. Reinstall steam and login.

  4. i'm having the same issues as described above. I use a Mac, updated to the latest OS
