Awe, I was enjoying the Faroese challenge, almost made me wanna get FM20 myself... that being said, Makoto, you're absoutely forbidden from getting the Continental Pro Licence in this save, understood?

Congrats on some epic matches! Also... stop bullying Saburtalo, you've eliminated them of like 10 European competitions. Shame about the loss to Nantes but you're getting close!

Phenomenal progress, here, you all but smashed through the 3rd division barrier, and proceeded to give União an historic Portuguese Cup win (which would be a classic for the ages, if it was actual football), good first Europa campaign too. I can only say, keep up the good work... and an eye on the other Ronaldo xD

Good ole' União. They were a forever fixture of the old Segunda Liga, a team never good enough to break into the top tier and stay (like Rio Ave or Paços de Ferreira) but also never bad enough to truly sink into the Third and below, given their player base. Their blue and yellow kit is just as jarring in real life, too. Still, though, the biggest challenge here is to survive the dreaded promotion playoffs (with some dangerous teams lurking like União de Leiria or some of the usual suspects). GL with them and I hope you show the Big Three what for. Maybe even hire Ronaldo when he finally retires, as a coach? xD

My congratulations on an nail-biting series. I do like the fanzine reply style, and it was nothing short of breathtaking to have it come down to goal difference two seasons in a row!

A Wish For Santa: The Azorean Dream
in FM Career Updates

Oooh, CD Santa Clara. Many towns and cities have "Benfica-inspired" associations that often develop a link with the parent club in Lisbon, and Santa Clara is no exception, as you can tell by the logo. The motto, as that which befits a sports association, is Mens Sana In Corpore Sano (A Healty Mind in a Healthy Body) and it has been the Azorean "top 2"-flight representative for quite a bit. They have often fed a series of decently capable blokes into the ranks of SL Benfica (unlike CS Marítimo and CD Nacional up in Madeira). It's glad to see you do such good work with them, and also nice to see that FM20 finally properly portrays the mess that Sporting Clube de Portugal is in, this season.
