16GB is more than enough for most things, but the 32GB config does also have a 1TB SSD so if you think you may need the extra storage then it's a good option.  Otherwise I'd say the 16GB config is fine.

thank you. If I was able to put a couple hundred more in (to be around 1200ish, is there any other recommendations that would be better? Or would that bracket still be comparable to this MSI? Again, thank you! Hoping to get one ready for FM25 but I know the spec requirements will not be out for a while.

I've had Asus ROG before, that's why I first thought of them. out of the 2 recs you posted, you'd go with the MSI? With RAM, 8, 16, or 32?

  3. Also, could add that former staff members who moved on to another club (in a transfer related capacity, like a Chief Scout, Director of Football, or First team manager) will have a tendency to go back to previous clubs for recommendations / players -- just like we've seen with Southampton signing several players from Man City's academy because of Jason Wilcox going there (and also Joe Shields, who moved on to chelsea)

  4. One of the things that I’ve noticed is that it is super easy to build personal relationships with your player, through asking about signings/coaches, praising recent form, etc. I have not been able to notice this with human to staff interactions – I have been able to loan players from a specific club and it tells me that the relationship with you is strong/friendly opinion of you but judging on how to do that is very unscientific. We also have the option to ask a staff member to stay because of the strong relationship they have with you / the club, but I don’t see how to strengthen that type of relationship because of the lack of options to interact with them. I also think that being able to ask another coach (e.g., a former staff member who is now a coach/in the recruitment team at their new club) for a recommendation / vice versa, old staff members coming back to your club for signings /loans would be a nice touch – and we have seen that really strongly this past transfer window with Southampton’s new head of recruitment going back and signing several Man City youth products given his previous role at that club. I think that would help with getting new players / allowing a former staff member to use this relationship that you may have built with them, for their advantage in the game.

On a similar note, being able to ask free-agent staff members to join a club who has offered you a position would be a good idea. We can see this for moving from one club to another, but you only have the ability to bring the staff at your current club with you to your new club. This would help see which potential staff members would want to join you at a new club.

Did the promotion get confirmed after his current deal expired maybe?

I thought that might be it, but no. Got promoted to the Ekstraklasa (confirmed at the end of May, and now it's June 28 and the new year for the season) and it didn't kick in -- he's leaving on July 1. He did sign the pre-contract before promotion was confirmed, however.

  6. I have a player who is on a one-year deal. Is not interested in negotiating a new contract and is in talks with other clubs in a pre-contract agreement. What will happen if he signs a pre contract deal with another side IF there is a "contract extension after promotion" and my club goes on to win promotion? Does the extension kick in or will he still move clubs?

If you can post a link to it so we can see the specs, we can let you know.

Best to also post your budget and what else you'd be using the computer for.

    ASUS - ROG Zephyrus S17 17.3" Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 - 1TB SSD - Black

Budget: up to 2k, and will likely only be using it for FM and possibly Civ/Catan

  8. Currently, it feels like the interactions we have with other staff (your own and outside) is rather limited. I think that a few more options can be added would be helpful. I've read several posts — which i agree with — about how they would like to have an actual interaction/conversation with their own scouts(and a couple other roles) which could help boost relationship/favored personnel. Like with scouts: what country would you want to scout rather than just having you/your chief scout decide everything. Or like asking a Technical Director for a recommendation (or list like a DOF recommending targets to sign) of possible targets for staff roles.

Another thing is other manager interactions. Currently in my save, I've declared interest in loan/loaned players many times from Pep. I think that asking a manager who considers you a friend (or has a very good relationship with you) if they have any players that they would be willing to loan out to you/recommend — specifically as they trust you to play their players. And Vice versa, where managers from lower leagues can come ask you if you have a player that you'd be willing to loan out. Especially for managers who were just your backroom staff. Like my assistant manager and a coach recently left to be managers in lower division — I'd definitely believe that they would be ringing up their old pal (me) and see if they could take one or a couple players on loan just based on that relationship/connection.

I think that the foundation of this is already there in the game (player/media interactions) and this might be 'easy enough' to expand to staff and add a little realism to the game
