  1. Managing Lyon, it's april 2024 and we are second with a 13 points pillow to third place. Now, all of a sudden, reporters start talking about us avoiding relegation this season *yay* ..

Sure, mathematically, it's sound but it's still a piece of information which comes across as odd or robotic.. to say the least..

We note that FM doesn't seem to know when it's appropriate to talk about relegation and when it's not..

Surely, how likely a europa league or even UCL spot is by the end of a season seems more relevant and apt with only 9 match days left before the end of a season as second with a 13 points buffer to the third..

  2. oh yes, the... VIEWSss.. The bane of every manager's existence.. What you can try is to click on a different screen, those ones where you notice that the game needs an extra second to load and go back. Sometimes the stubborn columns give in, sometimes they don't. Another thing is to export the current work-in-progress view, delete it under manage views and import it again to allow you to finally adjust the darn thing.. Thirdly, just advance a few days, play a match and try again.. Adjusting stubborn columns often all of a sudden magically works after that..

It's obvious that something under the HUD there wasn't made for in-depth user customization, it desperately needs an overhaul..

I make my own custom views for every screen possible, and yes, it's the most infuriating exercise in FM, besides having to constantly adjust set-pieces manually, perhaps..

  3. I usually experience this at the beginning of a save, like, one match they act like pep's barca, the next they suddenly act like a league one side.. I tell myself that it has to do with my players not having fully adapted to my tactics just yet. Usually, however, at about 10-15 matches played, what happens on the pitch starts to become more predictable..

Hi guys , so ihave a question..

My FM 2023 is a little bit slow and i notice my CPU and RAM dont pass 30% 35% cpu use and the ram 40 , 50% ...

Any form to put this CPU working hard? 33, 35% max is strange...

    I have a 8700k and 16ddr4 and a m2samsung evo 7..

I see you have an 8700K. I have a 6700K and will perhaps overclock my CPU should the game process through the days too slowly, I didn't really start my save yet, so can't tell yet if it's helpful or not..

Hi all, as per the title, whenever the game lags in 2D, my laptop goes to blue screen direct. I have no idea why it happens.

I have also updates my Windows to the very latest firmware (laptop as well).

    Laptop Specs: HP Victus d1072TX

    12th Gen I5 12500H

    8GB DDR5 4800Mhz Ram

    Nvidia GTX 1650 (4GB GDDR6)

I hear many games don't run too well with windows 11 atm. Someone wrote that rolling back to win 10 fixed his technical issues with the game.

Appreciate all the replies. Further to this topic.

just played Napoli (parenthesis or whatever their unbranded name is..).

assman said OI never MM victor Osimhen. Really!!!??? Never MM one of the most dangerous forwards in football? Even when he’s in my 6 yard box??? In same match AM a,so advised to never press their WB with a wand of a left foot! Just let him roam free I guess! Crossing perfect balls in for their unmarked £100m striker 🤪

assman prolly says that because Osi is very fast?

I don't. It indeed happened for example playing the first season with my favourite club IRL, Real Betis, and I did not sign anyone in the first summer transfer window. IRL, last summer the team tried to sell a few players and nobody seems to want to leave the team because of the great atmosphere that is right now there, even if they got almost no play time this year. In game, these same players are crazy in my save, everybody wants to leave. I understand that the game can not replicate the real status of each club, but it kills all the immersion for me, and even more when I am leading the league in a extremely successful campaign. But still, I would be able to accept it if I the interactions would make some sense, or if it would happen less often.

At Barca, one club players like Jordi Alba or Pique tell me after a few months in they wanna leave for a new club since they've achieved everything alrdy at Barca. I found that quite amusing considering RL, so I checked the pre-game editor for their personality numbers. The vanilla ones have very high Ambition numbers which I suspect is the reason why they wanna leave in-game. I hope the issue is fixed now in my new save..

  8. I think a manager's "motivating" attribute also has an influence on if players accept what you tell them or not.. There's also player personality and hidden values like controversy which turn players into d-heads.. Weekly training between 7.75-8 is usually the minimum, never praise the same player three times in a row..

Same here , for me it’s mainly to do with the longetivity of the saves , the youth system/development is messed up to the point by 2030 most teams are dominated by aging stars in their mid 30’s which I find unrealistic and most national teams are old asf and has put me off the game for good this year. I just don’t see the point of short term saves tbh and won’t be playing until this gets fixed properly which I personally believe they won’t or can’t its been the same issues since FM 2022

    try this mod :

The creator says it helps with the age issue..

  10. I voted for France, but I really don't think they deserve it after the england match.. A true champion of france's quality would have sent the english 3:0 packing..

Obviously, I would like to see Messi lifting the cup, but Argentina simply seems too fragile as a package deal to me to seriously consider it, especially against a with determination oozing Croatia which will always come back from a goal down.

If the french are complacent against Morocco, the whole of the arab world might go crazy next wednesday night...

  11. I've watched all french games, and I am a bit mad with Mbappe, actually. I think the fact that the world expects him to be the focal point of the french team gets to him, he also lost possession and wasted chances too often. Neymar did score an important goal after a fantastic one, two but lost possession a whole lot in every single game he has been involved in.. So, to me, Mbappe and Neymar have been the two most disappointing players of the tourney thus far..

Messi, on the other hand, has been, in comparison, more noteworthy with his creative play from deeper areas. However, Livakovic and Bono were excellent in goal. Griezmann's & Gvardiol's work rate did impress me, too. Bukayo Saka showed some great dribbles in dangerous areas.

Then there was the mexican free-kick goal from Luis Chávez & Richarlison's scissor kick.

The Brazilians created the best looking chances.

  12. I wouldn't call english fans entitled, rather slightly too enthusiastically optimistic at times as soon as things mildly go their way, or like when some new english prospect can run 5 meters in straight line without falling, people tend to get carried away.. But then again, internationally, we usually speak english, so naturally the english team gets more attention from the outside rather than let's say what french fans think about their team, that remains hidden behind the language barrier..

  13. Yea, the ref did seem to have some weird french fetish somehow.. The French didn't look like world champions for almost the entire game. Theo, what a donkey and Upamecano, the french maniac.. Then, Griezmann & Giroud, Pitchfork did well the frist time, second english defense should have known better..

As a neutral, more or less, the french don't deserve any pride or bragging rights after this performance.. Even really had to question their attitude at times but the english also didn't really deliver quailty chances..

You definitely made the french squad lose a whole lot of prestige.. The brazilians won the award for best goals and chances of this world cup as far I am concerned. The Croatians and Morocco  possess unbelieveable determination, though, and the Argentines are determined to get their magic man his only missing piece for everlasting goat status..

Could someone explain to me what this means? It's messing up all my planning and preventing me from renewing contracts

La Liga’s salary budget is the only one of its kind in Europe’s major leagues. It holds its member clubs responsible for their expenditure and ensures that they remain within the confines of their revenue generated.

The league president, Javier Tebas, introduced a 70% rule, where a club’s wage bill should not be more than 70% of their entire income.

But there are also underlying rules in place in terms of a club’s total debt which feeds into the number applied to a club’s salary limit which is why two clubs - Barcelona and Valencia - who have continued to spend despite amassing significant losses have been so adversely affected here.

Not all clubs are in agreement with the cap; indeed Barcelona and Real Madrid have been at war with Tebas for some time in respect of what they should be allowed to spend. But what these numbers show is that Real Madrid’s prudence during the pandemic has been rewarded and should allow them to easily outmuscle Barca in the transfer market for years to come.

Officially, that's why Messi had to leave Barca..
