  1. Currently in season 3 I think and this is my og save from the BETA - I know i should probably start a new game and I probs will if this error repeats itself next season.

In my current season my home and away fixtures are completely messed up.  I have played several teams twice away from home and not at home and vice versa.

At the end of the current season I will have played 20 games at home and 18 away in a 20 team league (Premier League)

    Has anyone else reported this?

  2. Thanks but I am talking about something different - when you offer a player to clubs it can auto set them to listed and surplus.  I can see the individual check box when I make an individual offer but if I want to highlight and offer say 9 reserve players I dont want to have to set every one individually to listed etc.  there is an option somewhere to make this happen by default - it used to be under personal assistant or something.

  3. This is just a Quality of Life suggestion - I play on automatic timeout on FM and in between games I tend to do other things like work (dont tell my boss I play football manager in work :)) I also delegate most aspects of the game as its got more complex being an old school Amiga CM player, I like my seasons done quick.

Anyway, my suggestion is please make youth intake day a hard stop in the game where maybe you have to acknowledge the intake by pressing a button, the amount of times I not only drift past this date but then also drift past the time to offer them a contract.  I'd also like to be able to delegate someone to sign the best youth players automatically as I dont really want any input in that.

Also I dont get the rather cryptic clues you give about the upcoming intake - 'there's a player with a pet spaniel who wears a red cap who might be able to play in goal' and other such nonsense.  Just feels amateurish - like a manager would be given daft tidbits like that rather than actual details.

    Love the game though KUTGW

  4. I have haven't really got too involved in the Training side of the game since it became much more complex - I prefer to delegate to a well qualified member of staff.

So I appreciate that my complaint could be solved by me simply controlling training however I do not wish to do this.

I play a 4-3-3 formation and I do in every game I start - the roles in the team are pretty fixed, I therefore recruit players i think will fit into the system and the role I want them to fulfill, even if they do not necessarily have a full green circle for that role/position.

For example my midfield features a DLP in the DM slot and then 2 BBM in the 2 centre midfielder slots - however when I sign an MC I go to the training hub and notice that the asst manager or whoever I have delegated to look after training is training the player for a role I dont even have in the team whilst said player is still not fully familiar with role I want to use him for.

I would like an extra setting on the player screen, similar to the agreed playing time menu whereby you can select the role in the team that you intend to use the player for - then the person in charge of training will use that as a steer to decide what individual training to apply to that player.

    Just a thought.

but i still see Liverpool as a flat 3 man midfield with the middle man been deep lying play maker and the other two been more box to box, but i would love to see klopp himself play football manager and see how he sets up his team,

I think Fabinho plays more as a DM in terms of putting him in a football manager tactic.  He splits the centrebacks and is the 'pivot'

Klopp doesn't use playmakers in his tactics. The counter press is the playmaker.

I feel this season Hendo has been playing more adventurous like BBM or even MEZ or something of a hybrid. He works up and down but also in the half spaces. Since Fabinho's injury he's back to playing at the DMC position though.

I think most of the midfielders are just workhorses all over the field. They help win the ball back, recycle it and provide cover. Occasionally, Winajldum or Keita will become a goal threat. Mostly it's the fullbacks plus the front 3 that are the main weapons.

Liverpool and Klopp have mastered the transitional game. Plus now they can mix up their style as needed. They can go from high octane counter pressing to patient possession based playing style seamlessly.

But they do not use playmaking roles IMO.

It depends on who is in the midfield three.

I would say that Gini - Fabinho - Hendo is a BBM - DLP - BBM set up

Its hard to replicate Keita and Ox's roles though because they are typified by driving runs forward carrying the ball quickly and making space for others in their wake.

In game I usually stick to a BBM - DLP - BBM combo as its easier to set up in game.

  7. Couple of feedback points:

    • Whilst I like the development centre as a whole - I wish there was a way to go directly to my under 23 and under 18 squad from the sidebar rather than the amount of clicks it takes now.
    • With the new work permit rules being based around wages it would be nice to be able to renegotiate new signing contracts when they join in order to lift their wage above the minimum required to be able to be eligible, can you imagine irl:

New signing joins - watch him in training and he appears to be be first team ready:

Manager - 'hey new dude, id like to be able to play you in the first team so therefore I need to give you a new contract on more money'

New Dude 'you mean you want to start me in the first team AND give me much more money'

    Manager - 'Yes'

New Dude ' No thanks I've only just joined and signed this contract so I'd actually prefer not to play and earn a pittance if its alright with you'

    Manager 'hmmmmmmm'
