Firstly - thanks! I've been really enjoying this thread and made me think about and play FM differently. My style of play is taking lower league teams to the champions league and enjoying the journey to get there. Having never paid too much attention to my own intake beyond the odd 4/5 star players, I've now started a game with UCD (University College Dublin) in Ireland and playing in a similar fashion to this with focus on building a team of home grown model professional players.

An odd thing I've seen is losing my balanced director of football as his contract demands were too high, and now have a professional DoF, however my intake now seems to have worse personalities than before. Have you found that particular staff roles have a big bearing on youth personalities? In this case it's worked the opposite way from what I was expecting. This season I got my first model pro when he turned 23 from through my academy, and he's since become club captain, so I'm hoping that this maybe has a slight knock on effect too.
