Do you think that is likely to affect the effectivness of the tactic?
I've only really noticed it as a problem with my lower league save. Now I am in the championship and not clearly better than the rest of the teams in the division like i had been previously, the number of fouls has dramatically gone up.

I know most of these tactics have high pressing and hard tackling. Is there a way to tweak them slightly, so I am not getting fined every other match and committing 20-30 fouls per game?

This sounds like a huge project, well done.
I am hoping to do a save with North Shields who I believe are in tier 9. Would be amazing to do that in the future!

I'm starting a go in Vanarama National League North, with one of the best sides in that division - any recommended tactics for my climb up from the lower leagues?

I tried the Figher tactic with Benfica - I won everything, including the Champions League (beating Liverpool in the final, having beaten Man City, Leizpig and Inter along the way)
I lost one game in the league and drew 3 - each bad result was with my second string whilst resting for the Champions Leauge.
Seems an amazing tactic to me!

Ive been using WULF 4231 P102 ECCC
My results so far are good generally. Just not getting much out of my midfield! I will try tweaking to positive mentality over attacking. Thanks.

Anyone else using the 4231 on the list?
I am struggling to get my midfield and attacking midfiled involved. They always just get 6.7 style ratings. I'm winning most games, but occassionally drawing 0-0 against poor teams at home etc.
I just want to try something other than these 442 types. I like those AML/AMC/AMR positions too much. But they seem rubbish in the main.

What 4231 have you got working? My 4141 with Bilbao is grinding out results, but its a very dull style of play. Every game feels like I just about win. Probably partially down to my players being fairly averge though.

Won the Spanish cup.
Gutted I didn't win the league!

4141 getting good results for me with Bilbao.
Currently 3rd, 2 points behind barca who are top, and 1 behind deal Madrid in second. Still have them both at home.
Only lost to Real and Atletico away. And I'm into the final of the Spanish Cup.
Nobody in my team is doing that well. Highest average rating is 7.2ish. Nobody is really scoring. But I'm grinding out results. It is satisfying in underdog team, but not sure I like the style long term. I need to play good football!

If you both do collaborate - could you make a nice short passing, high pressing, creative tactic ala Barca under Guardiola?!? I struggle every year trying to play the game beautifully!

The FM 19 tactics have been tested over numerous games compared to tweaked tactics and most of them still work in FM 20.
The tactic I used with Spurs was the Matiz AP tweak.
343 IF is not on recommended list but FM 20 version is posted above.

Having just signed Mason Greenwood and Jadon Sancho at Spurs, I'd be keen to test out a formation with 2 strikers. 442 sounds like it could suit, with Son on the left, Sancho on the right, Celso, Ndombele or Ali in the middle. Kane and Greenwood up front.
Is there a tweaked version of 442 doing the rounds? Or is there a formation anyone else would recommend?

Any particular tactic you think might work for poorer teams lower down the pyramid?
