I would have thought so, but I am not 100% sure- I suggest that you ask steam for guidance before buying.

main question really is does windows10s mode let you install a game with a disc. although thinking about it wouldn't be able to install any patches

They are identical in terms of technical specs, however I'd recommend the Lenovo on the basis that it seems to have one extra USB port and what would appear to be a better sound system.

It's also £50 cheaper, so winner.

And it will handle FM well enough.  I have the next spec down CPU on my own laptop and it handles the game well and even plays 3D at high settings on the integrated graphics.

    Thanks

Noticed that the other one has burst of 3.6  on processor whereas first one doesn't. Does this make much difference?  Does the first one meet minimum requirements for processor speed

Go for the one at Currys - the CPU is the next model up from the one at Argos so will give you a stronger performance.  Also, for FM purposes you will pleasantly surprised with the 3D graphics performance on these.  My primary laptop has the Ryzen 5 2500U (the lower of the two here) and it handles FM with most of the 3D settings at high nice and smoothly.

It won't play current AAA games, but is more than adequate for FM.

    Cheers kev

So would you say the currys one or the one you recommended from box. Nor sure which is the best

That'd be a poor laptop for a large database and 3D, since it doesn't have a dedicated graphics card, the processor is poor and barely above minimum requirements, and it's not a laptop designed for gaming - think more watching Netflix and posting on this forum.

What's your maximum budget for getting a laptop, and we can see if we can find something decent for you. You're probably looking at about £500 minimum for a laptop to run the game well enough for a large database not to slow everything down a lot though.

No more than 400 to be honest. Would this be any good
