When I use selection advice to pick my squad, my players who are injured/fatigued and are given promises of rest - will be moved from their position to a random one, instead of being taken out of the squad like they would in previous iterations of the game. For example, my fatigued CB will be moved to Striker.
Also, it seems that players with bad morale/contract options will not be put on the bench even if it has empty spots, they will remain in the reserves if you use selection advice to pick team.
