So I have been able to see some great counter opportunities, where player ignoring ccc chances by running wide and ultimately losing the ball.

So, if you really need a more specific description; There is a passing option until the player runs into offside, after that he could just low cross, but he does not. He goes and goes until he loses the ball to the opp player.
This is just a goal stolen, there is not the slightest chance, that it is a misrepresentation. The ME has some Issues where players are just unable to go into the field or pass, or do something else, then to lose the ball.
Hope you fix that.
