  • xG Prevented Stats Calculating Incorrectly

The Goalkeeping xG Prevented statistic appears to be calculated by "goals scored - xG of all shots faced" when it should be "goals scored - xG of all shots on target faced". A goalkeeper has not "prevented" a goal if he faces a shot that has missed the target regardless of the shot's associated xG. The purpose of the xG prevented stat is to measure the standard of a goalkeeper's shot stopping when in practice the stat is being massively skewed by the accuracy of the opposition's shooting rendering the data useless.

In the attached image, Lucas Perri's xG prevented stat should be 0 as he has not faced any shots on target while Alessandro Russo's xG prevented stat should be calculated based on the xG of the 2 shots on target he faced only rather than including the 8 that missed.

    Seems like an easy fix
