Nationality display in Japanese

Apologies for my ignorance in this, but I'm not entirely sure what would be incorrect about this. Can you explain a bit further as from what I can see there are additional characters alongside these.

It is strange that "の" is added to "イタリアの" in this image.

When displaying nationality in Japanese, only the country name is displayed without adding "の".

This is probably because in English, "language in Japan" is also written as "Japanese", which is the same as "people in Japan".
If someone familiar with Japanese were to check this, they would immediately notice something strange.
