24:09:06 Wigan 0 : 2 Liverpool

Took a while for the goals to come but a competent performance and most importantly 3 points.

28:09:06 CL Liverpool 1 : 1 Werder Bremen

Went 1 - 0 down in the first 20 mins (Werders 2nd shot on target) against the run of play. Did equalise just after half time but poor finishing cost the team 3 points.

01:10:06 Liverpool 0 - 0 Fulham

Again Liverpool failed to take the chances and were unlucky to come out with only a draw.

05:10:06 Liverpool 0 - 3 Leicester

Finally the chances were taken leading to a good performance all be it against the newcomers to the premiership.

15:10:06 Aston Villa 5 - 0 Liverpool

What can I say. Got it all wrong from tactics to selection. Villa played well and took their chances when they arose. Very bad day at the office!!!! On to the next game...

19:10:06 CL Liverpool 2 -1 Fenerbache

A good performance after the mauling in the previous match. Now leaves liverpool on the top of their group.

22:10:06 Liverpool 2 - 0 Derby

All be it against the bottom club, this was a excellent performance by the team. Cisse returned to set up one and scored one also. Hopefully back on track.

Manager Comments

All in all a very good session, didn't lose a single game although Daniel Severs came very close to beating me on the first game of the session have been 2-0 up for 78 minutes and playing against 10 men but Pires and Ljungberg came to my rescue in the 79th and 90th minutes. Patrick Vierra shall be leaving Arsenal for Real Madrid for £13.25m in december but not to worry because I am negoitiating a contract with a replacement, I'll give you a clue as to who he is, hes a England International who plays in Germany.

ps I welcome anybody who joins thuis great clan and I look forward to beating you all. I am the 2 time Premiership Champion and soon to be 3 time premiership champion and I invite anybody to try and take my title away from me.

L Cup Fulham 1 - 1 Liverpool (Liverpool win 2-3 on Penalties)

It was a close games with Fulham going a head first through McBride, we equalised just after half time through Xabi Alonso. Went quiet until with no other scores after 90 mins and a a quiet extra time period. PENALTIES...Liverpool scored all bar 1 penalty with Fulham missing 3. WIN

PL West Brom 2 - 2 Liverpool Ventola (26), Zalayeta (69), Cisse (48 ) Alonso (88 )

Strange game very hard to comment on

CL Fenerbache 2 - 0 Liverpool Maniz (44, 60 )

Not a great performance by Liverpool, this game now hampers their qualification from the top of the group.

PL Liverpool 0 - 0 Newcastle

Two words: ROB STYLES!!!!!!!!! You know what i'm getting at. Gives out 9 yellow cards and 1 red card to Josemi in the first half, not great, especially with losing Portillo and Gerrard to injury in the first half. All subs used and still the second half to go..... oh dear. But credit to the team they defended well against Newcastle and Baros had many good chances but just couldn't find the net. With the way the first half went a draw was a great result.

LC Watford 2 - 1 Liverpool

2 penalties for both sides with cisse missing one and getting the second penalty later, but poor performance against a team they shoild have beaten. result = out of league cup

CL Liverpool 5 - 0 Juventus Portillo (25), Cisse (60, 63), Gerrard (90), Kewell (90)

What a result, going into to this game we are top of the table level on points with Juve but because of previous win we go top and after the result against fenerbache we need to win... tough call!!!. NO.. the team played brilliantly, stopping Juventus in their tracks and scoring 5 great goals. Now top of the table with 3 point advantage and a draw or win against Werber Bremen will give us top spot. what a way to end the night.

Ok i actually wrote down my results from last night after my memory let me down the week before - do you see the organisation skills there?

Manchester City 2 - 0 Newcastle United (Anelka, Macken). League Cup.

Good solid performance from the lads here, totally dominated the game and good goals from Anelka - who has been poor all season and a nice moment for Macken in the last minute.

Sibierski & Barton picked up injuries during the game - nothing serious.

Manchester City 1 - 5 Manchester Utd (Scorza) Premier League.

Holga's first game and an annihilation for me. My tactics were nowhere and we were over-run. Enough said for the local derby, best get back to Yorkshire before I get lynched!

Wigan 1 - 1 Manchester City (Anelka) Premier League.

A good away point in the derby with a new tactic. Some good football and things look a bit better. Anelka looks more suited to this tactic.

Aliadiare picked up a slight injury.

Manchester City 2 - 0 Crystal Palace (Shaun Wright Phillips, Anelka) League Cup.

Two goals in the opening 4 minutes and then complete pressure for the rest of the match. I am well suited with how the team are playing and I am putting out my strongest team in the competition.

Manchester City 2 - 1 Fulham (Shaun Wright Phillips, John Hartson) Premier League.

Another win in the league and things are starting to look up. The team played well and only conceded in the 89th minute.

Overview:

A good session for me. The team is still a bit old for my liking and I need to get the wage bill under control. SWP is unhappy at a couple of rejected bids from an undisclosed club (you know who you are!!). The fact is no one has the money or the players at the moment to tempt me to sell him.

Well here's my report then.

26/10/05 vs. Spurs H - League Cup 3rd - 0-0 aet, I win 4-3 on pens

Well after a 90mins of chances, extra time i dominated but just couldn't put the ball in the net. Then came the most extraordinary penalty shoot-out. Both sides needed 8 penalties each before i sealed the win!!

30/10/05 vs. Birmingham A - Prem - 2-2

After a nip and tuck first half in which i went behind twice before hitting two equalisers. The second half was distinctly one sided in favour of Birmingham so i was pleased to leave St. Andrews with a draw.

6/11/05 vs. Blackburn H - Prem - 2v0

This is a game in which Blackburn didn't turn up at all, i was 2-0 up by half time thanks to goals from my front 2 of Viduka and Bellamy, it was just a shame i couldn't score more in the second half!

9/11/05 vs. Arsenal H - League Cup 4th - 5-0

Yes, the scoreline says 5-0! Although Mr. Hall will point to the fact that he got cut off just before the start of this one, so he was unable to change his side or make subs, Arsenal's side still included the likes of Henry, Pires and Cole. This was a satisfying result as i was 4-0 up at half time. Once again it was the front pairing of Viduka and Bellamy providing the goals, the latter pitching in with a hat-trick. Bring on Watford in the next round!

23/11/05 vs. Leicester A - Prem - 3-1

Mark Van Bommel was the difference in this game, instrumental in everything my side tried to do and without him i could have well lost this game. After going down to an early Connolly goal, i hit back in similar style in the second, Van Bommel with the goal. I had to wait till the 84th till i took the lead, the substitute J-F Hasselbaink with a clinical finish. Hasselbaink then sealed the win in injury time to send three points back to the Riverside.

All in all an excellent session for me, unbeaten with one draw and the rest wins. I have some games against the big sides coming up which will be a real test. Nomajor injuries to report. I have Leon Osman arriving from Everton in January. Gareth Southagte is going the opposite direction to Goodison in a seperate deal. I also have another player on the way out, but i can't remember his name!!

Manager Comments

Okay just a few notes, there was nothing I could about the League Cup defeat against Middlesbrough as the game kicked me out and I had to reconnect during the match which meant I couldn't make any changes or substitutions. Secondly I am still unbeaten in the premiership and on route to my third premiership title in a row. Thirdly I now know I have to strengthen my squad for europe as Inter Milan gave me a masterclass during this session and these european results mean I am only in for a chance at the UEFA Cup. Still I got a new signing to start the strengthening.

Bit of short night for me due to my alcoholic tendancies!

I played two games.

Derby County 1 - 1 Manchester City 1 (Cant remember who scored) PL

Crap performance may be due to Le Sulk!

Manchester City 1 - 0 West Bromwhich Albion (Cambiasso) PL

Not a bad performance, Anelka wants to leave and he can!!

Before I came on last night we lost 3-0 to Liverpool BUT hammered Chelsea 4-1 to go into the semi finals of the league cup!

Fair bit of banter last night and I hope Tony realises I was only messing about. Feel free to dish it out Tony as long as you can take it back as well!

I think my tenure of Manchester City will not last too long. Replacing all the ageing crap inherited from Keegan is beyond this clubs resources and I really feel for Stuart Pearce in real life. There is some hope if someone is stupid enough to buy Anelka and if someone can afford to buy SWP although that is unlikely!

No major injuries to report and as usual no transfers sorted out!

James.

PL Liverpool 3 - 0 Man City

A good result with a very good performance. Can't remember the scorers. A good result before the dreaded fixture against Arsenal.

PL Arsenal 4 - 0 Liverpool

What is it with this team, I can never beat them. Few chances at the start and that was it. Enough said.

CL Werder Bremen 0 - 2 Liverpool

A good result to claim top spot over Juventus. 2nd round here I come.

PL Liverpool 1 - 2 Chelsea

I'm getting fed up with this now, just can't seem to pull their socks up against the top team in the prem, can do it in europe but not here. Everton coming up next and need to get a good result.

PL Everton 1 - 5 Liverpool Sonck (73), Garcia (11), Portillo (59, 67, 85), Cisse (88 )

What a game, what a result. Dominated the game for the most part and took the chances that came up. A great game for Portillo getting his first hat-trick, hopefully there is many more of them. Extra bonus in the Tim Cahill is out injured for a few months

Managers Comment

So I lost my first league game, big smegging deal, so you all think I made a mistake getting rid of Vieira for £13.25m and getting Hargreaves for £12m. Next week when Hargreaves comes in I am going to ram your words down your throats. I still have transfer money to play around with so I am going to strengthen Arsenal soo much, nobody will be able to get within spitting distance of my Premiership Title!!

Please go easy on me next week Tony. I have to play you away in the second game and my poor team are having ahard time!!!

I like the sound of your transfer money though, do you fancy buying Trevor Sinclair off me? He is a London boy through and through and will easily do the job of Reyes or Pires!!! Honest!

There is now a Yellow and Red card system in place for the clan. These start immediately and we have already got 2 members on Yellow cards. A description of how this works is available on the rules page.

I advise all members to read these rules.

A list of members who have either a Yellow or Red card is now available on the Manager Profiles page.

I have had a go at a new point system for RTG, this is dependant on the result of the poll:

Please remeber that this only a draft and takes all into account

New Road to Glory Clan Manager Points System

Winners Bonus

World Club Cup = 150pts

Intercontinental Cup = 125pts

Champions League = 100pts

Top Division = 75pts

Super Cup = 50pts

UEFA Cup = 50pts

Major Domestic Cup = 40pts

Minor Domestic Cup = 20 pts

Winner of a countries lower division will get 40 pts reducing by 5pts the lower they go through the tier system. E.g

English League:

Premiership = 75pts

Championship = 40pts

League One = 35pts

League Two = 30pts

Conference = 25pts

Conference N/S = 20pts

Points will be given for where u finish in your respective leagues: e.g

20th = 0

19th= 0

18th =0

17th= 2

16th=3

15th=4

.

.

1st = 18pts

Points will be deducted from any manager for relegation, dismissal and for retiring from the game and recommencing

Relegation = -10pts

Sacking = -15pts

Retirement and new job = -20pts

Please feel free to leave any further suggestion or remarks

Hi Rob,

I don't agree with the World Club Cup & the Intercontinental Cup ranking above the Champions League. IMO I think these two competitions should be Behind the EPL so the table would look like this:

Champions League = 150pts

EPL = 125pts

World Club Cup = 100pts

Intercontinental Cup = 100pts

UEFA Cup = 75pts

Major Domestic Cup = 50 pts

Minor Domestic Cup = 25pts

My reasoning:

I feel that the EPL and the Champions league are the holy grails of football, all chairmen want IRL and on the game is to win the EPL and then win the Champions League. The inter..cup and the world club cup are normally one off games or small tournaments and shouldnt be worth as many points as the EPL and champ league where you have to work your butt off over a whole season to win them!

Just my opinion of course.

Average session, Man utd and Chelsea are catching me which has me worried as I will not be able to attend the next session so if they wanted a chance to get 1st place next week could be their chance.

Liverpool 3 - 0 Birmingham

Cisse was in top form scoring a hat-trick. Great game all around and an excellent result.

Liverpool 2 - 0 Blackburn

Amother good performance with both Cisse and Baroson the score sheet and another clean sheet.

Middlesbrough 2 - 1 Liverpool

Cisse scored a cracker in the first half we where just holding on from there after. Then Daniel Severs makes an inspired sub and scores 2 goals late in the game to win it. CRAP!!!!!!!! But on looking at the stats at the end boro had the better chances.

Liverpool 2 - 0 Norwich

Cisse on the score sheet again 7 goals in 5 games, lets hope it continues. Garcis scores another trademark goal.

Bolton 0 - 3 Liverpool

Garcia with 2 gaols and Portillo with 1. Getting some good results and regular scorers.

FA Cup Liverpool 0 - 0 West Brom

Poor game by Liverpool standards and now one extra game to play.

Crystal Palace 1 - 3 Liverpool

Garcia on target again, keep it up and Cisse with 2 more goals. Could be on for good run if we keep the clean sheets and Cisse and Garcia keep scoring.

Transfers

Arnold Bruggink - Free

Lauren - Free (1st July 2006) ( Thanks Tony)

Injuries

No real big injury concerns to report.

Manager Notes

A good nights work getting 15pts out a possible 18pts. Also keeping 4 clean sheets was good. Keep it up lads

Wigan - A - 21/12/05, 1-0 Win

Van Bommel 61

Not a convincing win, but i was comfortable for the majority of the time

Young forward Jason Kennedy was bright from bench

A scrappy second half with not many chances.

Liverpool - H - 28/12/05, 2-1 Win

Kennedy 84,90

Cisse 21

A Cisse cracker opened the scoring in the game, and the first half finished fairly evens.

An inspired Kennedy sub won the game for me. The youngster took his chance and won the game single handed!

Villa - A - 1/1/06, 2-5 Loss

Viduka 21, Mendieta 27 pen

Vassell 25, 35, Angel 31, 56, Hendrie 46

Machester City Team Report 07/07/2005

Results.

Manchester City 1 - 7 Everton Premier League

Nightmare. No fit goalkeepers, no defenders and everyone else around 70% fitness. Hartson came out with credit from an absolute drubbing. Well played Matt, you too your chances.

Bristol City 0 - 0 Manchester City FA Cup 4th Round

Crap.

Manchester City 3 -0 Middlesbrough League Cup Semi Final Second Leg

Amazing performance after reinforcements arrived thanks to Mike and Dave. David James came in on loan from Villa while Mikael Forssell came from Chelsea. Forssell scored twice and SWP once to wrap up a comfortable win.

Birmingham City 0 - 4 Manchester City 4 Premier League.

The amazing turnaround continued int his game as my astonishing capture of Juan Sebastian Veron after his release on a free by Chelsea. SWP scored twice, Forssell once and a Veron debut goal sealed this hammering.

Manchester City 4 - 2 Bristol City FA Cup 4th Round Replay.

Gung Ho performance as I wanted to win it. New signing Scott Parker scored one and I think Hartson scored as well but my memory is a bit dull with this one!

Injuries:

Numerous but including, both goalkeepers, 4 midfielders and 2 wingers.

Transfers:

A Joyours Evening on the transfer front!

Managed to offload Le Sulk (AKA Le twat) to Chelsea for 7 Million PLUS Scott Parker - my best deal ever!

Juan Sebastian Veron - FREE!!!!!!

Mikael Forssell - Loan from Chelsea

David James Loan from Villa (Lifesaver)

Chris Kirkland £3 million from Liverpool (Thanks Rob)

All in all a vast improvement from the start of the night. Conceded 5 goals in 20 minutes to Everton as my useless 18 year old keeper got stage fright. Made some hasty loan signings and things improved. Now have a league cup final against the mighty Holger to look forward to. Rob says Man Utd were awesome so I will have my work cut out.

Cheers.

James.

Okay first off the only reason I lost the Norwich game is because yet again teh server kicked me off meaning I couldn't make any tactical changes in the match. Secondly I am still on course for my 3rd Premiership Title and I am still in with a chance for my first FA Cup. Thirdly you may question me for buying Fabrice Fernandes off Tottenham for £4.5 Million but I see him as a good backup player for the 1st team squad and I am planning a big summer rebuild during the preseason to build a squad that will challenge for the Champions League.

CL: Liverpool (4) 3-0 (5) Barcalona

4-1 down going into this leg, needing 4-0win to go through. A very good performance by the team, but to no avail. At least some respect from the result.

PL: Derby 0-4 Liverpool

Cisse with a hat-trick and Alonso with a cracker. Great game and result was fantatstic too.

PL: Liverpool 1-0 West Brom

Baggies put up a fight and poor finishing by my forwards didn't show a true result. But a win is a win.

PL: Newcastle 0-1 Liverpool

Hard fought game, defended for most of it but Portillo got the goal to seal the points.

Injuries

S Gerrard 2 weeks: Calf Strain

Garcia 2 Months: Ligament damage

Comments:

Good night, shame about the Champions League. Unbeaten in 8 or 9 games now in the league and won Manager of the Month. On course for securing 4th spot

Manchester United Team Report

FA Cup 6th Rnd Tottenham 0 - 1 Manchester United

A very dominating performance from ManU. An early goals by Scholes after 8 minutes, Tottenham with only two shots in the whole game and lots of very good chances to score for my strikers.

Best man was Paul Robinson of Tottenham.

Now in the semi final again the derby aginst Man City at the Millenium Stadium.

Prem Arsenal 2 - 3 Manchester United

What a crashing start in the first half by ManU. Scholes (24'), Rooney (26') and Van Nistelroy (33') made a 3-0 lead at half time in Highbury.

Second half Arsenal got stronger and scored by Beattie (48') and Gilberto (60'). Several chances for both teams, but Roy Carroll was in good shape (Tim Howard out for 3 months!!!) and three points for ManU and the lead in the Premiership.

Prem Manchester United 2 - 0 Manchester City

Kicked off from the server and my network crashed, so just the goals.

Sneijder 38' and Yeste 45'.

Prem Bolton 0 - 2 Manchester United

Another great performance from ManU. A very solid defence (no shots from Bolton at all) and Ameobi (35') and Scholes (57') on the scoresheet.

Transfers

Lost Brian McClair (Coach) to Chelsea and hired Oliver Reck as replacement.

Want to sign another two or three players for next years Champions League.

Injuries

Tim Howard out for three months

Dagoberto, Lahm, Silvestre, Van Persie and C. Ronaldo injured for 1-2 weeks at international games.

Summary

The Premiership is in my hands (3 points in front of Arsenal, 4 points in front of Chelsea) with only six games to play.

Next game at Old Trafford against Chelsea and my team plays really good football at the moment.

Semi final against Man City in the FA Cup (other semi final Chelsea - Newcastle), so I maybe get another cup this season.

Lets wait and see if a German wins all three English trophys.

Everton 2-1 Middlesbrough

A woeful display of finishing from the toffees 20 shots and only 8 on target and it took two penalties from Wesly Sonck to beat Boro, Van Bommel scored a cracker from just outside the area for them.

Norwich 0-1 Everton

A decent display, solid at the back and Norwich never looked like a threat Freddy Guarin got the only goal of the game from a well worked corner.

Everton 2-0 Crystal Palace

A dominant win completely outplayed Palace, Sonck opened the scoring with a great individual goal and Robinho secured the game, a great midfield display from Guarin a key player in the Everton revival.

Summary

Another great night and another 3 wins out of 3 we have extended are run to nine games won in a row in the league and 13 matches unbeaten and Europe is still a possibility a great turn around after the appauling start to the season.

Manager Comments

It was not a very good night for me, must be the first time since the clan begun that I have had a bad night. A bit disappointed with teh Man Utd and Newcastle results and I can only put it done to injuries to two of my key players. Still theres time left to regain the top spot with the help of results at highbury and elsewhere. Man Utd and Chelsea have to play each other and I'm hoping for a draw at least.

Great start to a new season.

PL Fulham 0-1 Liverpool

Can't remember who scored but rode my a luck a few times but deserved winners.

PL Liverpool 0-0 Birmingham

12 shots on target to their 0, how i we didn't score I don't know, but better than a loss.

PL Wolves 0-6 Liverpool

What a game, what a performance, Cisse hat-trick, Crouch, Portillo and Carragher. Great team performance.

PL Liverpool 0-5 Tottenham

Ripped them apart but only after they put up a fight. Cisse 2, Carragher 2 and Portillo

PL Man Utd 1-2 Liverpool

Gerrard scores in the first minute and then the game balances out, but come second have Man Utd get more chances and score. 93 minute Portillo with a lovely through ball to Cisse and Chips it over the keeper. LIVERPOOL DO A MAN UTD OVER THEM.

What a good night, shame I have to leave until the end of September, but that's the way things go. Currently top of the table with 13 points and a healthy goal difference 14 goals scored and only 1 let in so far, hope they can keep it up without me.

Injuries.

Lizetiaz ; Groin Strain

Transfers:

Darren Potter 250k - Norwich

Robson Ponte 2.6m - Spurs

S Finnan Loan - Leicester

Missed out on Micheal Owen, bid was accepted but he didn't sign the contract and the deadline passed. Up to Cisse to get the Goals going for the team, hope he has the same has last season. 6 so far is a good start.

Cya all at the end of the September when I comeback from my honeymoon, hopefully I will still be top of the table.

Everton 1-2 Newcastle

Was looking forward to the new season and was confident, but this match made me think it was going to be another poor one. We were the better team throughout this game and Kluivert opened the scoring against the run of play, Gudjohnsen did score on his debut to equalise and things were looking up, but we missed countless chances and a poor performance from Niemi gifted them the game Viana got the winning goal.

Chelsea 3-2 Everton

2-0 up after just 9 minutes and things were looking up the goals coming from Bowyer and Sonck, it looked better when Arenas saved Mutu's pen but then Perotta pulled one back, and then we gave away another pen which was saved but perotta followed it up and it was 2-2. Both teams had chances to win it and Kezman scored with the last kick of the game to win the match.

Everton 2-2 Aston Villa

Went 2-0 down to Hitzlsperger and Vassell goals, but Gudjohnsen and Karembeu leveled the game it was a pretty even game but again one we should be looking to win we had the better chances but poor keeping again cost us the game.

West Brom 2-1 Everton

another disappointing keeping performance two shots on target and two goals they came from a deflected Kanoute shot and a Johnson header 2-0 down and it wasn't looking good, Gudjohnsen got the toffees back in the game but again too many wasted chances cost us the game.

Everton 1-2 Arsenal

Was getting pretty fed up at this point, and again a one goal defeat Gudjohnsen scored his fourth goal for the toffees to put us in the lead and Arenas was looking good in net there was nothing he could do about Jenas' goal but then gifted Henry the second, He was messing about on the edge of his area and he was tackled by Henry and he ran it in game over!!

Transfers In

Grygera £2.6m

Juan £7.25m

Stekelenburg £8m

Transfers Out

Yobo £15m (Arsenal)

Kamphuis £7.5m (Nantes)

Sumarry

Rubbish start to the season could have and should have won nearly every match, We were the better team in most of the matches. Hopefully the new signings will make a difference.

Results:

PL Southampton 1 - 6 Liverpool

PL Liverpool 4 - 0 Crystal Palace

Euro Feyenord 2 -1 Liverpool

PL Liverpool 3 - 1 Norwich

Transfers:

Shevchenko from AC Milan £27m

Injuries:

Cisse Groin Injury - 4 months

Not a bad i night in some respect but some of the results don't show how my team played. Biggest problem now is that my top scorer Cisse will miss the next 4 months and the team is finding it difficult to get consistant goals, hopefully that will change with my new signing Shevchenko for a club record £27m. I assume this should sort out my scoring problems.

Manchester United Team Report

PL Everton 1 - 2 Manchester United

ManU went in the game without the injured/suspended Ambrose, Rochemback, Chivu, Eagles, C. Ronaldo, O`Shea and Sneijder and so I hoped for a draw.

D`Alessandro quickly scored in the first after 11 minutes with the first shot on goal and he scored deep in extra time of the first half (49').

Everton got better in the second and Voronin scored (55'). Ten minutes later Olivier Bernard saw yellow for the second time and was sent off. I thought this was the victory.

But Everton made the game and Tim Howad with 4 great saves late in the match secured the three points.

CL Manchester United 2 - 0 Rosenborg

Disappointing performance and goals from Rochemback (37') and Dellas (68').

PL Manchester United 2 - 2 Chelsea

Quick goals scored from Silvestre (2'), Joaquin (13') and Rooney (18') and nothing more for almost the rest of the game.

But only almost...

Lampard with the only shot in the second for Chelsea and it was in.

Two wasted points.

League Cup Quarter Final Manchester United 4 - 2 Arsenal

This was a really good game from both teams. O`Shea scored after 19 minutes, but the goal was disallowed. Ten minutes later Van Persie made the lead and Reyes with the equalizer after 43 minutes.

D`Alessandro with ManU`s second short after the break, but Pires scored for Arsenal with a penalty after 64 minutes.

Good chances for both teams, but no one could score in regular time.

Van Persie and Mosquera made the goals for ManU in the second half of extra time and ManU is in the Half Final.

PL Aston Villa 3 - 1 Manchester United

Everything started fine with Geremi`s goal by a direct free kick after 29 minutes. Aftre about 55 minutes I substituted 3 players and the game went to hell.

Hitzelsperger (61'), Baros (83') and Lopez (84') scored for Villa and made an end to a 16-game-unbeaten run.

CL Panathinaikos 1 - 1 Manchester United

Goals by Pappas (44') and Van Persie (92'). Unbeaten with five wins and one draw through the group phase of the Champions League.

Let`s wait and see who comes in the second round.

PL Manchester United 3 - 1 West Brom

Early goal by Dagoberto after only three minutes and an own goal made a 2-0 lead at half time. Just back on the pitch and Dagoberto scored again (48').

Ventola with the goal for West Brom after 77 minutes but all in all a good performance and a deserved win for ManU.

PL Fulham 0 - 4 Manchester United

Dagoberto (12'), Silvestre (18'), Van Persie (35') and

again the young Mosquera (78') with the goals for ManU.

One goal from Dagoberto disallowed (24') and Scholes missed a penalty (71').

The scoreline should have been higher, but who cares after a 4-0 victory.

Good end for the session.

Summary

Second round in the Champions League, Half Final in the League Cup, FA Cup Third Round against Chelsea and third in the Premier League with only one point behind the first two (Chelsea and Arsenal).

The next game at Highbury and we`ll know where the way goes.

Injuries

I just don`t know what went wrong so far this season. Always four or five first team players injured.

This is a major factor why ManU`s performance isn`t the same as last season, cause I can`t play two games with the same players, and every game one or two key players are injured.

This has to improve if I want to defend my titles and play a succesful season in the Champions League.

Transfers

Rickets (525k) from Tottenham will join ManU at 1. January.

Chopra (3.9M) from Leicester was cancelled cause he is injured for the next five months, and I`ve already enough injured players on the payroll.

So I am still searching for a striker. But maybe Mosquera continues with good performances and this problem is solved.

Ruud Van Nistelrooy is for sale (Mosquera has more goals the Van Nistelrooy), cause he just doesn`t fit in my system anymore.

I will consider any realistic offers (part-exchange is also possible).

See you all tomorrow

Holger

Managers Comment

Well what can I say this must be West Brom’s best season so far in the premiership and in with a chance of Champions League Football next season. Could be tough with Liverpool having a couple games in hand but we could do it. Plus we have Liverpool next in the League Cup Semi Final so we are in with a real chance of bringing in some silverware. I doubt we will be able to win the premiership which looks to be between Chelsea and Man Utd. All in all a good week for me.

Overall a successful session, undefeated, but a bit disappointed with the cup result as i dominated from start to finish. The result against Man Utd shows i can compete with the teams above me in the league, especially as they were coming off of the back of a 8v1 win over Palace.

Glad to get Le Tallec in the side finally after he got injured at the start of his loan deal from Liverpool, and he's contributed well to the team, including a goal against Wolves. ON the injury front i've just suffered a big blow in losing Craig Bellamy for 6 months after surgery, but this will give the young Jason Kennedy a chance to add to his already impressive displays and goal tally.

Only have one transfer in the pipeline with Amdy Faye coming in from pompey in the summer on a free. I;m trying to reduce the squad, and there will be a fair few leaving on bosmans at the end of the season.

Rights Guys the release of FM2006 is only 12 days away and we will be looking to stat the new league the first week after release. (Date and times to be decided shortly). But we need to decide now is what teams are not allowed to be picked. It has been decided first of all the Divisions to be played are the English Prem and Championship with the lower leagues open for future jobs. It will be too much hassle to run other leagues in with this and would be difficult in regards to data collection.

The first option in regards to team picking is in regards to the Team Generator, this is compulsory and will be done in this way to give everyone a fair chance.

What we need to decide however is what teams will not be in the mix.

1) Teams that finished 1-6 in the Premiership last Season ( In Real Life) are out of Bounds

or

2) Teams that finished 1-10 in the Prem are out bounds.

Please voted in the poll to decide.

As I've already said to rob in an msn conversation, I'm proposing a system of:

once everyone has been allocated a random team, it should go round again so we all get 2 random teams. Then we just all discard one of them, this would ensure no-one gets a really awfull team with no money and rubbish players.

what do people think of this idea </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Although we talked a little about it a while ago, I am actually against the idea. It can lead to some problems.

I feel we should leave it as first team drawn from the generator if final. i will be doing the draw live over teamspeak (date to be decided).

I just think having a choice of two teams will give some people some advantages than others.

So I am gonna say that we leave it at one team only.

PL Liverpool 2:0 Bolton

Had plenty of the possession and plenty of chances but not that many on goal. We didn't score until the second half with Kewell putting us a head and Portillo maing sure of the win. Bolton had a few chances and some were very close.

PL Everton 1-2 Liverpool

An exciting derby to look to. Shevchenko with 2 goals and we looked like we had it in the bag, but a silly foul by Reina in the box gave Everton a penalty which Adu converted. Then Everton came at us with everything and we managed to hang on.

Euro Stuggart 0-4 Liverpool

The result says it all, we played them of the park. Portillo, Iniesta x2 and Lauren with is first goal for the club to give us the advantage and more than likely the progress to the next round. 2nd leg to come.

PL Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

This was the came in hand that I had to win. Shevchenko with another goal to add to his tally. Tottenham did have their chances but couldn't convert.

Euro Liverpool 3-0 Stuggart

Just to make it all official the team which did have many absenties sealed our entry to the next round of the Euro Cup to face Newcastle. Vanden Borre, Iniesta and Crouch where all on the score sheet.

LC Final Liverpool 3-2 Man Utd

Went in to this game with some hope but look like it was going to be more of the usual when playing against Man Utd with Mosguiera scoring after 5 minutes. Here we go.... but the team ralled itself and Bruggink scored a minute later and we were back in the game. The team countered an attack by Man Utd and put Shevchenko through to score and out us in the lead. He scored again in the second half but I was not ruling out a comeback by Man Utd and thought that they were when Dagoberto scored late on. But is was to be the Reds of Liverpool to lift the trophy. MY FIRST TROPHY

=D>

FA Liverpool 1-0 Tottenham

Another game against Tottenham and Alonso scored in this close fought match to get us to the next round to face Everton. Looking forward to that.

Manager Report

An excellent night winning in all competitions, Manager of the Month and winning in the League Cup. Shevchenko has been in sensational form and Cisse is due to return in 3 weeks an although he has been out for 5 months he is only 4 goals behind Henry who is currently the league's top scorer. On top of theprem now by goal difference but have alot of games in a few days. Next up is title chasers Chelsea, then Villa and the Baggies.

The games are starting to pile up and are the injuries but with the way team are playing at the mo anything could happen.
