Crazy odds

I have found that the odds are incredibly unrealistic. The most recent example is my away game to Bury who are 3rd. I'm Luton and if you ignore the 30 points deduction then I would be about 4th/5th. I'm on a good run of form and probably have the best bunch of players in the league (had a mid-season blip when I changed tactics and most of these players arrived on Jan 1st). Anyway, in 'real life' my odds would be about 2.8 to 3.2. But in FM09 I'm 1.57 to win! Happens in every game, my odds are way too short every time.

Now you may think this is an insignificant part of the game but it must be linked to the fact that all my league opponents play really defensively against me and basically have 10 men behind the ball should they take the lead. It seems my team reputation is not linked to actual results/performances.

Anyone else noticed this? Any explanation? I'm assuming it's because I have some pretty good players (mainly French out of contract players).

Also, Bury have gone 13 games unbeaten! Well I've played the game, got completely outplayed (my worst performance this season) but scraped a 1-1 draw from it. I just wish I could somehow bet real money with these bookies!
