Recommended Activation Procedure?

Sorry for posting yet another thread about the activation process, and mods please delete or lock if you think this is unnecessary, but as I don't plan on installing/activating my game until I get in from work tonight, what method of activation would you recommend I use for my boxed version of the game, bearing in mind all the trouble people are currently experiencing??

Once again, sorry for creating another thread, but it's literally a mine-field of information out there and just wondering if there was anything I should avoid doing. Thanks in advance.
