accidentally chosen squad - no chance to improve!

I'm playing FM with my friend through net. I was about to chose wide, 30-persons England squad for World Cup. Unfortunatelly my friend continued the game (we have set one minute of interval), and I didn't spot it. I was forced forward, when i got only 20 players called up. I had still 3 friendlies before WC, but i couldn't call up more players later, when game wanted me to chose final, 23-persons squad! The game forced me to chose 23 persons from previously chosen 20... And it didn't want to continue before there were 23 persons in squad! But i couldn't call up more from list!

That shouldn't happen. The game shouldn't allow my friend to continue before i chose the exact number of players OR it should allow me to call up more players later.

That's all. My frustration is a bit calmed.
