stevenmckergow
I have bought a new laptop with windows 7 however the old version of fm2008 will not install. I have tried altering the compatibility which has not helped. When the game starts to load it drops to a reduced screen size with windows errors that it has stopped working. Any help in getting the game working appreciated. (The game still runs and installs on old vista laptop although very slowly)
crouchaldinho
Perhaps try editing the shortcut to windowed mode as per this instruction page - http://www.footballmanagerwiki.co.uk/index.php?title=Windowed_Mode Long shot but it's all I can think of at the moment. I imagine setting compatibility will be really important but you've obviously already tried that. I don't really know but there must be others out there who are playing an old FM on Windows 7 so hopefully someone will be able to help!
crouchaldinho
Also, could be worth trying the technical issues forum - http://community.sigames.com/forumdisplay.php/207-Technical-Issues-and-Crashes Maybe post this thread there as well. There are some people who always check that forum and may be able to help you.
TheGulls
I had the same problem with my copy, when installing do not use the default install Directory, instead overtype with something like C:/Sports Interactive/FM2008. For some reason this seamed to work with me. Hope this helps
