Network Issues

I don't know if this has been posted before, but i've been playing with my friend for a couple of days and he is the server for out network game. Everytime we play, i end up getting disconnected and having to go back to the start screen and reconnecting

and its a constant issue.

I went to his house and it did the same thing, but not as often as it did when i was at my house.

Anyone know what to do? I am not using Hamachi, just the network options the game gives me. (I don't know if that would even make a difference)

hi does it matter if say im on a macbook and my brother is on a vista laptop because dosent seem to connect i need some help any 1 got any ideas thanks
