Has anyone seen or heard of this issue?

I did do a search but found nothing. Sometimes when I'm watching in 3D mode, the ball will almost vanish. It goes from the white ball to a dark grey/black which makes it very hard to pick up, you have to follow the shadow of the ball. It can be like this, then, when it gets into a certain area of the pitch, the ball will go back to normal. Will it have anything to do with the graphics detail as I only run it on medium with no crowd or sky due to it being a bit laggy when I have it higher.
