Players Motivation & Yellow Cards Issue

Hit Im managing Liverpool in the first season. I have Player Motivation issues like certain players looking complacent during the game or certain players looking nervously during the game. How do I get them motivated or down to earth? Plus will closing down on opponents and tackling them hard would earn me yellow cards? Im always closing down them and tackling hard and earn at least a 2 or more yellow per match higher den wad i get for fm 08
