Hi, I have not downloaded any patches at all. Do I just download the 9.3 patch and it will be enough or do I have to download from 9.1, 9.2 and 9.3?

Thanks!

It will more than likely have been corrupted whilst saving the game. did you have the backup options? if so you mat still have the save

Is that the number of saved files it does? I only have it set as 1 if it's that so I might be a bit ****ed :(

As in 'Auto Save Mode'

Yes there is an option to auto save rolling 3 files which is what i do. if its just the 1 file you have then you may have lost it but if you have a mate or upload the save someone maybe able to access the save and re-save it making it usable again.

This maybe due to the firewall settings and or anti virus software try disabling the firewall just for the activation then enable it again

the only other thing i can think of is the game isn't and hasn't been made to run this system. best bet is to try compatibility mode or re-installing unless someone from SI replies with an answer

Again, for the 3rd game running I beg of you. As a loyal away supporter of my football team I think its time Football Manager had away attendances. It wouldnt take much, Just a small number in brackets by the side of the attendance. It would make the game so much better knowing how many fans you take away with you, Especially in big cup games and European away matches. They never listen to me so if you think its decent and your a big cheese, please sort it. Thanks.

When you start a new game it pops up with a choice of databases to use such as

Default (9.0.0)
and any others you have created downloaded or those you have installed via patches

try re-installing the patch if it worked before. if that is the same then make sure you have the latest:
Graphics Software/Driver
Directx and Directx SDK March 2009
Latest Java

once you know they're all up to date then if it fails again you may need to try a clean install of the game

You mean 9.3.0 patch but this isn't a bug that you have games on days of internationals its natural to have players away yon internationals but if there is loads which some games get postponed near the match for the reason of them. I am sure if the Bundesliga do this

Nop. On International duty matches, when you play World Cup qual., Bundesliga, Serie A, Premier League, Primera division, every league is stoped. No games on that day. Only the second division can play, but the first division are stoped. And in the game they are, only Bundesliga made matches on that weekend. So, i think that is a bug on the patch. I hope next season I will see no more matches on Int. Match Day

Hi, Thanks for your help, Doesn't give me an option though. When I choose "New Game" it loads up on its own and on the timer screen says "Loading database" It does not seem to be able to find the update? I downloaded it from Rapid share and installed it in to my FM2009 folder, Is there anything I might have forgotten to do or perhaps done wrong?

I installed it, and the little MAC window said that it had installed successfully, but, the game just wont find it... Not sure if the downloaded file needs to be put in to a specific folder with in the FM2009 folder or not?

Don't mean to sound daft... which I probably will but I don't know what you mean by the directory? All of the FM2009 apps are in on folder which I created when I first installed the game from the disk, The only thing that is out of the folder is the disk icon when it is in the computer...

It says version 9.0 due to the patch not being installed it sounds like you have just placed the file in the fm folder not installed it you need to install the patch. i am on wndows and i click on the exe file which then i install it but with the mac its a dmg file or summit.

this may help http://www.ofzenandcomputing.com/zanswers/779

When you double click on the dmg file it should mount like a cd/dvd has been placed in to the cd/dvd drive then the mounted dmg should have a option to install from there i would say.

so double click the dmg file then a new file should appear or load up double click that and then install from there. the site has more detailed info for you

Hey guys, I've posted this problem many times but it never gets answered :P

I've downloaded a few custom databases, and none of them seem to work. I'm not running the game through steam, so currently the folder is here:

Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager/db/then the folder of the database.

Whenever I go to run a new game, the database doesn't appear. Can anyone help me? What am I doing wrong :)

Just trying now... I see the 9.3.0 thingy is in there.. so maybe..:)

Right, this is unprecedented! I have other databases, all of which I placed in that folder you listed above, and it turns out, a different one works, rather than the 1999-2000 one. Any ideas how I can get them all on there?

interesting i will keep looking i'm testing the db now in my docs 1st then will try it in updates folder

EDIT: right it works for me in the my docs db but not in the updates folder

try testing the db by itself 1 db might be conflicting with the other

the best way is to try say 1 db with another in there and so on when 1 fails to show meaning the last 1 was conflicting.

you may need to put some in updates folder and some in the my docs that may work
Ooo okay then, so basically, just spread the folders out in other folders?
right this is what i mean or ment to say lol

Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager/db/
db 1
db 2
db 3

C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009\data\updates\
9.1/2/3
db 4
db 5

spread them out like so until you get them all listed on your game

start of something like this:

Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager/db/
db 1

C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009\data\updates\
9.1/2/3

if that shows add another if that doesn't show move it to the updates folder like so:

Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager/db/
db 1

C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009\data\updates\
9.1/2/3
db 2

it may take some time but some db's work in certain folders not sure why it happened for me on 08
