When you register or access the wiki?
when i try and register
it was just really slow for me, but I'm now registered and making an article.
I know, it's really slow for me too. I'd move it if I knew of any faster wiki sites. Do you know of any others?
Nope, i don't unfortunately
Okay, now the site is down completely. I think it's best it move it to another wiki site, so I'll have a look to find a suitable new home for it.
It's working but could we not just get a free domain and start from scratch there.
I just spent ages writing an article about buying players.
Don't worry, weeeman27bob, you can just copy it over as the site is back up again. I made sure just now to copy my 2 articles into a text document on my computer incase that wiki goes down again. I already lost most of the Manager Photo article once after the wiki messed up but luckily that was mostly just copy and paste from one of my posts on here.
lol. Ok I will do.
Gimme £20 every few months to host it and I'll give you a proper one can't afford anymore freebies though unfortunately so you might be able to find a better offer hah
How on earth did you find it?
Ah peter, I have ways.
I better copy my MLS article onto word. Stayed up all night to do it.
It seems to work fine now, it was all down to site traffic I guess. I'd still like to have a more stable site, so I'll think about your offer Jez
I don't think you should really be considering paying for anything right now tbh, you don't have the content to deliver. Get a sizable chunk done and if it's still dodgy then maybe
Yeah I know, I didn't mean I wanted to pay now! What I meant to say was that if it does turn out to be a success (which is unlikely to be honest), I might consider paying for decent bandwith. But me being the cheapskate that I am, I'd probably back out of it
We could just get a different free one and see if that improves it.
I just spent an hour writing out my first articles.

Well yeah that's what I'd prefer if it's possible to find a suitable site.
Thanks for putting so much time into the articles. Could you put them up on the site if you're done?
There is no guarantee it will do well so paying now would be crazy, plus I am skint.
weeman27bob - sorry if I might have confused you earlier. The wiki was only down temporarily. It's back now.
I agree, it's a bit risky and this is something that could work without needing people to pay money, as good as their intentions are.
Yes, I agree entirely. I don't think the traffic will be anything near needing a new place for it!
So what's the general concensus then? Should we look for a new site or just leave it as it is for now?
I see no problem with it now to be honest.
Added a bit to my MLS page. Will slowly but surely finish it soon.
If someone knew of a better one that was free then I would say go for that but if not then I think we should leave it.
It is fantastic mate, I presume you didn't write it all yourself but it is great. Weemanbob, yours is too.
Maybe see how well the current site does first. If it's a big hit then there is always the option of moving to a better one in the future.
Well, I found stuff from wikipedia MLS page that really helped, although the explanation of the draft was done all by myself.
Congrats none the less
So what are the first impressions then?
My first impressions - someone has to add some more detail to some of the quickie articles I did. I suppose I'll add more later if I can think of some stuff
Yeah that is a great article. I bet the part about Toronto having the biggest fanbase was done by yourself.
I think it is good so far. Obviously there is more articles to be done and some are not fully completed yet but it still has potential to be a great FM resource.
My one is rubbish. I just explained loads of simple stuff simply.
will try and do some more sometime:thup:
I'm ready to write up another article or two now, just not sure what to write about. Can someone give me some ideas?

Nothing wrong with that, you got your point across clearly in the article, & that's all that really matters.
I think I may leave most of the articles to you lot to be fair. Just manage from the back , you all seem to have much more skill than me.

Ah, someone noticed the slight bias in my article.
I'm not done yet. Still need to talk about MLS rivalries, and competitions like the US Open Cup, Superliga, and CONCACAF Champions League. But I will finish those parts soon.
Your article is good weeeman27bob. You may perceive it to be simple but I bet there would be several people who read it would think it is a great help.
I was just trying to be modest, I know it's good really.
I might try and do an article on attributes tomorrow.
Good to see you guys putting in so much effort, am glad I made it now
Hey stop trying to claim all the credit
I wrote a Ukrainian league guide for SI back on FM07, probably out of date now so not sure whether i should include it? I can't update it as i can't play FM09!

I am the founder of the wiki
In the preliminary stages of yet another addition of my MLS page. Have a little look now.
Just stop now Rancer Brilliant son, kutgw
Yeah that is very good. When you get to Toronto make sure not to overrate them.
You go into great detail there Rancer. Makes all my articles look rubbish by comparison
I learned to go into detail. Lots of patience was needed in teaching Europeans about the draft. :D
Thanks for the comments. Jod, I'll try not to, although the MLS head researcher overrated Carlos Ruiz just a bit.
Finally signed up to edit it so I'll start contributing.
Good work community.
