promotion from the very very low leagues

Recommended Posts

is it possible for teams to work their way up from the leagues right at the bottom of the football league pyramid?

because all i ever get coming in to the blue square north/south is teams from 1 tier down.

i have even tested this by putting huge rep clubs into the kent league and they never get promoted even after many seasons.

The only teams that can get promoted into playable leagues are the teams in the league(s) directly below the playable league, the only way to get a Kent League team into the league is to edit their starting league with the editor - either put them into the BSS/N or one of the three feeder leagues.

The odds of a team in a feeder league being promoted is mainly based on their reputation.

That's a little sad, since those leagues are named, all they need to do is to put the promotion relegation rules to those unplayable league. I think that at least all teams in a league which has regular promotion should have a slight chance to appeared in bsn/s in the future.

Even those teams are not researched, it would still be a welcomed feature

So can u just move the umplayable teams into the lowest league and use them? Or do you need to recreate the team?

Yeah you can move them into the lowest league able to gain promotion from, but as long as you replace them with a team from that division to even out the numbers again.

Where is the database editor?

If you installed or authenticated your game through Steam, you will find the editor at:

C:\Program Files\Steam\Steamapps\Common\Football Manager 2009\Tools\

if you didn't use Steam at all it will be at:

C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009\Tools\
