Shenmue-X
Hi, I recently bought FM20 and am currently generating a new game with heavy database. Windows Task Manager says FM20 is using 10 percent of my GPU. I would like to know why. Does FM use both CPU and GPU to calculate the same things? Overmars
I had the same question a while ago. I was told it's normal expected behaviour, which made me want to run out and buy a dedicated graphics card. I do wonder why rendering simple menus is using GPU that much, though. -Jef-
Cos it's a GUI. Graphical user interface. And if your GPU is crap, like integrated, it's gonna use big%.

Pretty all Windows applications are GUI but FM are among the few applications that are using GPU when browsing 2D interface according the task manager. Nonetheless, I think you're right. I got 26% of GPU usage in the FM16 main menu. My GPU is GTX 1070.
SI Staff EdL Posted September 20, 2020 SI Staff Share Posted September 20, 2020 The entire game is rendered using the GPU via DirectX 11, so that is totally normal
