January was just as good as I was unbeaten until I lost to Valencia in the Spanish Cup. I am currently top of the league with 3 points clear of Girona. Jose Pozo continues to get better and better. He has banged in 19 goals in 23 games. He also continues to improve in training. His Dribbling, Heading,Anticipation,Composure, Decisions, Vision and Agility has got better recently. Jose Gragera A 19 year old Spanish defensive midfielder who will be Mario Suarez's replacement when he goes, He has settled in nicely. Signed him for £650k from Real Sporting FC. He has 3 and half star potential. Toni Moya A 21 year old Spanish midfielder who's best role is a DLP. I signed him from Athletico Madrid B team for £275k. He has a 4 star potential. Rober I am really excited about this guy Rober, I signed him from Betis B team for £1m and he looks like a right tasty winger. He has 4-5 star potential and has done well so far get a few goals already. Keyendrah Simmonds Another bargain was this guy, a £750k signing from Man City. He can play on the wing, just behind the striker or as a striker. Angel My DOF signed this guy and at 32 years old I didn't think he would be a good signing but he has done well so far getting 2 goals in 2 games for me. He might be a good impact sub for me and also a good mentor. He cost me £375k from Getafe CF. Jean-Charles Castelletto I know this guy from a previous save I had with Lyon, he performed well for me and his contract was expiring so I got him to agree to join in the Summer but I paid £650k to bring him in January. Yeah Rober has been doing well, I play Pozo upfront as an Advanced Forward, he sometimes plays on the left wing as an Inside Forward. I only got given £1.8m to spend and £350k wage budget so it will be a tough season with a lot better teams to play then what I am used to with Rayo. Jose Pozo ended up with 25 goals in 39 games. I don't expect him to get that many next year with tougher opposition but I hope he gets enough goals to keep me in the league. I have got him to sign a new contract with a £20m minimum release clause but only a £10m relegation release clause so hoping to stay up. Alvaro Garcia was another stand out player with the best overal average rating, 17 goals and 5 assists. Andres Martin was also awesome for me, He got 9 goals and 18 assists. Andres Martin creates history with his 18 assists this season. Alvaro Garcia also makes history with his 7 Man Of The Match awards for the season. Stole Dimitrievski record for 25 clean sheets also set a new team record. Pozo gets the League's Top Goalscorer Award. Pozo also gets the League's Top Spanish Goalscorer award Dimitrievski wins the Goalkeeper Of The Year award. The board also plan to expand the stadium by adding 750 seats and should be ready for the new season ahead. The board have also decided to upgrade the training and youth facilities. Yeah a bit, I am also selling Jordi Amat for £4m and he is on £30k wages as well so that will help both budgets as long as he agrees to go to one of the 3 teams that have made offers. I quite like my team I got already and I am on the verge or signing my on loan left back A.Luna on a permanent deal and he was amazing for me. It will hold 24,000 people and will be ready in 2 years time. It is nice to see the board back me and want to bring more revenue into the club. Transfers In Jaime Mata I wanted an experienced forward up fron for the first season and I know that Jaime Mata can get a few goals for me. I signed him from Getafe for £4.4m. Antonio Luna I had this man on loan last season and he was a very realiable left back. He is 29 years old but can still do it in the Spanish La Liga. Johan Mina A young, vibrarnt Ecudorian 18 year old attacking midfielder who's best role is a Shadow Striker. I will try him out in a few of the Cup games to see how he does. Javi Sanchez Former Real Madrid youth player Javi Sanchez is a decent young centre back who still has potential at 23 years old. I hope he has the pedigree to do well for me. Parfait Guiagon People who read the French thread will know of this player. He was amazing for me at FC Metz and I hope he does well for me at Rayo. Only cost me £195k as well. I also managed to loan in Joel Pereira from Man Utd, Amad Traore from Man City, Rey Manaj from Barcelona, Leo Bonatini from Wolves and Ander Guevara from Real Socidad to give the squad some more depth. The Spanish league is too buggy - not being able to hire any staff for the B and U19 side is putting a real dampener on things, along with having to pay every youth player I want to retain high wages. This was confirmed as an issue but there is no fix, and I really want a save where I can focus on youth development. He looks like a really good player in the making. Loads of potential. Martin Campana I managed to get a bargain keeper in Martin Campana. He only cost £525k and look at his attributes, double figures in literally everything and is an excellent leader. Only 31 years old so I got a few good year left in him. Charlie Brown A young English striker I signed from Chelsea for £425k, wont be getting any game time in the first team. I will see how he does in the youth team and reserve team. Ronaldo Beckham Posted June 10, 2020 Share Posted June 10, 2020 Rayo Vallecano January Results I have had a great run of results in January, I only lost to Real Madrid 3-1 this time lol but other then that I was unbeaten. I am also through to the 5th round of the Copa Del Rey. Jaime Mata is doing well getting 12 goals from 22 games. I will look to replace him or find a decent understudy in the summer. Hopefully Matias Arezo will be the guy that taks his place. Blaise Matuidi has been an inspirational figure for me. He has the best average rating at the club, scored 3 goals and got 3 assists. The only concern is that I only got him to sign a 1 year deal at the time but hoping to get him to stay on for another year. Main highlights being a 2-1 win Vs Betis and a 1-0 win over Sevilla. I am now currrently 9th in the league. Ronaldo Beckham Posted June 11, 2020 Share Posted June 11, 2020 Rayo Vallecano End Of Season Review I ended up 8th place in the league. A massive overachievement for such a small club. I got some decent wins. I beat teams like Sevilla, Valencia, Betis etc. Jaime Mata was top scorer for Rayo this year with 17 goals in 35 games. I am glad I signed him. I reckon he has another season in him before he starts going downhill. Luckily for me I have Matias Arezo who looks more then capable of stepping up and will eventually be my main striker once Mata retires/leaves. Blaise Matiudi was very inspirational for me and was probably my best signing as the team really turned things around once he come to the club. I assume it would of been Amad Traore or Jaime Mata but I am happy for Guevara Matias Arezo got Goal Of The Season as well which is pretty good considering he only played 2 games and only scored 2 goals lol. I got sick of his moaning so got rid of him. Jean Charles Castelleto - Valenciennes - £2m - Wasn't good enough so got rid of him. Oscar Valentin - Eibar - £1m - Wasn't getting enough games and he wanted to leave which suited me. Alvaro Garcia - £1m - Montipellier - Wasn't good enough so got rid. Players In Sergio Diaz Sergio Diaz was my main player signed. I signed him for £7.5m from Real Madrid. He should be a solid striker option with Mata and Arezo also in the mix. Hugo Cortez My DOF signed this guy. He looks like a good player for the future. I am thinking him and Arezo will be my main striker options for the next 5-10 seasons if they do well. Antonio Jesus Another player for the future, excellent potential. I hope he turns out well for me. Felipe Jaramillo A decent midfielder bought very cheaply, decent all round attributes. Miguel Araujo Peru International central defender I managed to sign on a free, He has 16 in Marking which is good as well. Loren I managed to sign him on a freebie from Betis, I might play him a few games and sell on for a fee at some point. I also signed Nacho Monreal, Raul Garcia, Jesus Navas and Nikola Kalinic on free's to tutor the young players and also put a shift in when needed.
