Crusade for European Glory! It always begins in Clermont [FM20]

Kind words, but I'm aware your job and what you have achieved at Clermont is a much better effort than me getting a fairly strong Lorient side promoted. You've been consistent over a number of years, but are now really taking extra steps.

I have been lucky and I pick players with certain attributes. I got a little messy last Transfer Window, but Clermont is playing the way my teams always play. I am defense first...Mourinho is who I emulate. Even though I would rather be Klopp. Klopp more Charismatic.

Most of this is because I play this almost like a Wargame and I like to win. I have a lot of time playing Grand Strategy and other Sports Management Games. I build my Army or team. I fight battles or play games and learn. I know enough to use  what works even though I am impatient and think FM ME is cheating me.

I think of you as more of a Football/Soccer fan who plays you might know more tactically than me and more about the Culture of Football and that gives you advantages as well.

Regular Season: March 2025

March is a weird month Congested early and ending early, Five fixtures in three weeks. 3 the first week.

Four of the five Ligue1 fixtures...If we are to catch PSG or lock up 2nd place this is the month.

88rT9P.jpg

March opened quickly with a trip to St. Etienne on the 1rst. It was a tough match and they loved to keep possession like us.

0vsew2.jpg

It was a game between equals...

We ended up tied.

Press was still impressed with us.

CD5sjd.jpg

Three days later we were in Paris...

XWO9na.jpg

We lost...

Four days later we had a 6 pointer against AS Monaco in Clermont.

xEs7UP.jpg

gUaEyy.jpg

We were unlucky but it happens...Our run is over and probably our chance to catch PSG as well.

A week later we headed to the Fortress city of Metz and wanted to avenge our earlier loss to FC Metz.

8W1D6E.jpg

It was an even contest but our superior quality finally told.

The final match of March was played at Stade Gabriel-Montpied

zRZLKu.jpg

Relegation Fodder Montpellier fought hard and Parked the bus..

We dented the bus but didn't break through.

Great going as always

Unlucky against PSG in the cup but I suppose you'll have to beat them to win it at some point.

I won it in 2022 by not playing them...somehow they lost before the final.

I know that at this time all the French Trophies go through PSG.

Regular Season: April 2025

QxgYc3.jpg

April was the month the fixtures slowed down to one a week. There were winnable matches but the team would need to regain form.

Especially Irvin Cardona and Maximilliano Romero!

The month started out with a trip to Bordeaux. The Relegation threatened side would fight hard so it was a tough game.

j54DGO.jpg

It was another day of ineffectual shooting.

The team had a home game against Nice next...

7a6tXH.jpg

It was a sloppy game but we came away with the win when Cardona converted a PK.

The Press decided to up the pressure on the boys...

KCFKY1.jpg

and our next match was against Nimes at Stade Gabriel-Montpied

It was a terrible game that bored the crowd to tears.

Finishing 0-0

due to that draw it was mathematically impossible for Clermont to catch PSG!

pDQXxE.jpg

The Galactic Empire wins again...

and then to wipe everyone's noses in the dirt they also win...

 LcaJRs.jpg

The last match of the month was against LOSC Lille. The Trip to the coal producing city could have been better...

The team is still giving points away.

Regular Season: May 2025

After two month of being on the schneide. Bernard was hoping for a strong finish.

May had four fixtures and all were winnable.

DY9dg2.jpg

The month began with a highly anticipated clash with Rennes in Clermont.

W2EZGh.jpg

Rennes went down a man in the 2nd minute! but our now familiar problems in front of goal arose. Until Maximillian Romero scored in the 56th minute. Rennes fought hard but could stop the onslaught of 3 Goals in 10 minutes to end the game.

and that game cemented our place in the Champion's League.

J982pJ.jpg

but the Board didn't give us a bigger payroll.:seagull:

88FxRs.jpg

But that was the tipping point in negotiations with our Two most important Players.

foVHLA.jpg

61DBD0.jpg

Both signed max extensions that will help the team deter interest.

The next match was a trip to Angers...

LVDDIU.jpg

a header by Winger Csoboth won the game...

For the last home game the backups got to play...Guingamp was in 20th place and was already on vacation.

pZJ5Pl.jpg

We only won 1-0 but it could have been more if I played the starters.

In other News, Manchester City fired Pep and Bernard is rumored to be a target...

tzdd8r.jpg

In a Journeyman save I would jump even if it was Man City....

The last match of the season was a match against Marseilles on the road...

qOi5QK.jpg

The starters played and did a professional job.

The team came in 2nd again...

UlLj1I.jpg

and received $20M for our trouble.

and we set a Team Record for number of wins.

Season Review: 2024-2025

It was another remarkable season even if we were denied Title glory by the EVIL EMPIRE for a second consecutive season.

JwmpxN.jpg

As you can see it was a good season for such a small team..

The team used everyone and they all contributed the Squad Screen is sorted by appearances.

VMw01j.jpg

Our Goalie Krapikas should get accolades but he isn't sexy enough.

The fans are a little Crazy...they voted our backup AMC the best one in our History!

wCzt3d.jpg

He is decent and covers every blade of grass but really folks?

v5V8i8.jpg

Many of our former players are still playing if in lower leagues in France.

This just shows how far we've come in 6 Years.

The Team's and Fans awards are fairly predictable...

Yea4GP.jpg

Nael Jaby is a local boy and was a transfer target of Big Teams like Man United.

Kevin Csoboth was a last minute signing and turned out to be inspired.

The local magazine did a feature on the first team of "Crusaders"

Y7Ks0z.jpg

Board Meeting

The Board Meeting was set and they added "Play good Defense" to my objectives.

M5hbmg.jpg

I guess I'm creating a culture here...

But, the Big News is a New Stadium Downtown that has 25K seats!

qKoAOn.jpg

The Stadium will cost $53M dollars and take 3 years to complete.

I guess I'm stuck with my current players unless I sell a few to buy others.

Ligue1 Stats Review

20V9XM.jpg

The final Ligue1 Table...

Notice that Cardona and Krapikas came in second in Goals and Shutouts!

Team Stats

KYlxvE.jpg

We came in 3rd in Goals scored with 64...but how do you compete with PSG's 93!

jvgEAN.jpg

We came in second in possession. Will probably work on that for next season.

e4S3aj.jpg

Our defense is stout only conceding 25!

Player Stats

mNxYQK.jpg

Cardona's slump the last half of the season kept him from winning the scoring title. He had 22 in March!

DmNnEe.jpg

UYggaL.jpg

Our Goalie Titas Krapikas was 2nd in Goals Conceded and Shutouts  and was left off the Goalkeeper of the Year ballot!

Nice one! I've not had a magazine article like that before, good to look back in time and see where those players are now.

I've never had a board add something like that about defence (but I like it). The new stadium will also be a really positive thing to enjoy when it's ready.

The board just adds whatever I do to the Club Vision. I'm making it hard for the next manager.

You've never seen that article because you don't usually make it beyond a couple of seasons

But Real Estate prices in Downtown Paris are a bit higher.

Our Current Stadium holds 16.2K AFTER an expansion. It could have been further expanded to 20k. The team doesn't own it. So they decided to build their own.

We look to have about 10K season ticket holders now. I would like to build it up to 16k before the move in 2028.

Silly Season #6: June 2025

Going into the offseason Bernard was mostly happy with his team. He had his eye on a couple players to upgrade certain positions but financial constraints limited his options.

Irvin Cardona was recognized as Ligue1 Golden Boot Runner up!

IA24gP.jpg

If he had scored 2 more goals...He is the second runner up in Clermont History.

Improvements will be made to youth recruitment.

UyWBHa.jpg

This is need because we are desperately short of Homegrown players.

and the nerds get new computers.

F8nGVa.jpg

The first good news of the offseason was this Commercial report.

gTKy4c.jpg

We are 41rst best Team in Europe

qqrvQg.jpg

We start with some tough fixtures...

RUg2U6.jpg

so we will have to hit the ground running this season and that doesn't include Champions League!

and the team will receive at least $27M in TV revenues over the season.

3zMbF4.jpg

Another Center piece of the Team signed Long-Term!

ZfITwZ.jpg

This means our top Centerback pairing will stay together for the foreseeable future.

Since Clermont was the second best team in France last year...

04KlXW.jpg

We are invited to play PSG to kickoff the season.

Transfers

emEwXw.jpg

We only went after 2 players since we did a lot of business in January.

We sold Marc Helm our backup AMC to make room for a new Starter at that position.

This is the NEW #10

gej4VY.jpg

We might of over paid but Athletico Madrid was also bidding. I think he will help Maximilliano Romero find his form.

Bernard is a little skittish about the fitness but he just couldn't afford a much better player on our Transfer Budget.

Comparable but better players were going for $14.5M!

and a Free Transfer for GK depth.

Management Report

Nice update, hopefully Palacios will justify the big fee. Extending the contract of Disasi is more really good news. He moved to AC Milan in my game and apart from the fact that you have him, I probably would have done a deal for him myself. I'll rely on my £200,000 buy Kalulu (who ironically is just moving to Milan IRL)  as the 4th in my pool of central defender options - I love to get value on my signings.

Preseason: July 2025

Since the team would need to get match fit quickly. 9 fixtures were scheduled. 8 friendly's and the Trophee des Champions in Cameroon.

H5KAY7.jpg

The Preseason started with as always a match against Clermont2. The 2nd team gave everything to prove they should be in first team.

f401vE.jpg

ZSKTpq.jpg

After that less than perfect start the team headed out on tour. First Stop Ghana before landing in New York, USA for Training Camp.

OKmZbc.jpg

The Hearts of Lions played up to their name...

The Team landed in New York took in the Statue of Liberty and prepared for Three friendlies.

The first was against Hartford and it was another terrible performance as we escaped with a draw, 2-2!

The Second was against the New York Cosmos of the USL. In their Heyday of the 1970's the ruled the NASL with players like Pele.

9UhyKw.jpg

The Cosmos scored of a set piece against the backups but as the game went on our quality told. Dilane Bakwa had quite the day starting as the IF and scoring a Hat-Trick!

The final match of the tour was against the best competition NY Redbulls of MLS.

kjwGjx.jpg

The Starters played 70 minutes and it wasn't a contest.

Maximilliano Romero had been kicking up a fuss about money...so I went a head and gave him a raise...

5RsDay.jpg

He didn't really deserve it but I couldn't really afford to get a new striker.

Hopefully he kicks it up a notch!

The team then returned home for a friendly against FK Austria Vienna.

It was another game in which the backups featured.

FJqfcT.jpg

Cardona came on early for an injured Maolida and won the game.

We then took a midweek excursion to one of our affiliates...

Bw2wAg.jpg

We were then going to host a friendly against Juventus at Stade Gabriel-Montpied

9Sr9nD.jpg

Sy1gaQ.jpg

The Team played well and I was shocked at how bad Juventus looked.

The bookies set the odds for the season.

BDhwQ3.jpg

They pick us for 8th place comfortably in the top half. Of course Bernard will try for better.

Irvin Cardona is among the favorites for top goal scorer...

YSV5TS.jpg

Hopefully he can repeat last years performance!

A few days after the Juventus match we invited one of our affiliates to provide live shooting practice...

trHOXb.jpg

It was a good final warmup for the Trophee des Champions

The Trophee des Champions match was held in Cameroon this year and Clermont hoped to put on a good show against the Galactic Empire.

Re1Mgi.jpg

PSG has a pretty good lineup it only costs $155M and has this $40M player on the bench!

CrivQw.jpg

A $40M Squad player on the Bench!

The match itself was a good game...

ZLHRuo.jpg

We took the game to them and scored first. PSG seem to take exception to that and tried to maul our players into submission. First they had a player sent off for a red card. Then near the end of the game Paul Pogba did his best Sergio Ramos imitation injuring Ksoboth!

We then won on Penalties when Harry Kane missed!

jbEUlQ.jpg

uzZfuX.jpg

Unfortunately Kevin Ksoboth who has really beginning to play well is injured for 6-8 weeks!

Regular Season: August 2025

The win over PSG buoyed confidence going into the season there were four fixtures in Ligue1 in 21 days.  It was important to get off to a good start.

6JpOaf.jpg

It was a tricky start Bernard since always likes to start the season at home. The OL match was definitely one of concern since they are always a good team with World-Class players.

The board set their objectives for the season...

khQ3px.jpg

and good news we are just short of 10k season tickets! It is a personal goal to reach 15k by the time we move into our new Stadium!

UilOfV.jpg

The Trip to Reims was one that the team should be winning...

6BqEW6.jpg

and it started out well with a penalty scored by Cardona but ended horribly when their Striker beat the offside trap and our GK Krapikas Twice!

for a 2-0 loss.!

Of particular note was the poor play of Simon Stehle on the Right side playing for the injured Csoboth.

The next match was a home match against FC Lorient. Another match we should win. Unfortunately Palacios went down and is set to miss the rest of the month.

In his stead Erkoglu will play #10 and Said Arab on the Right Wing.

ZRHIDA.jpg

This match went much better.

The big match against OL was a week away and we would really see where we stand.

ZLy9li.jpg

We went down early to OL fought back but had no real answer to Martin Odegaard pulling the strings in the midfield.

The Champions League Groups were drawn...another Group of Death!

LzaN5F.jpg

We will try and get third and a Europa Cup Spot and even that will be hard!

The last match of the month was a trip to RC Lens...it was a match that could go either way.

The team would be missing our Captain Cissokho due to suspension, but Bianda, who used to play for Lens, stepped in and played well.

He is going to be great. I especially got him for his deadball skills. For most of the last 3-4 years Jaby who is ok has been the deadball taker unless my better option was subbed in during the second half. It is a no brainer with the heght and Jumping ability of my Cb's especially Cissokho. (Who would make a fine Basketball player at 6'7" tall)

Regular Season: September 2025

September was going to be tightly packed with five fixtures in three weeks. The matches would include a visit from Liverpool and a trip to Paris. Two things a side struggling to find form would want. The plan was play the Starters in important and or away matches and play backups at home against weaker opposition. The plan had risks but it was the only way to keep the team fresh and ready.

Ssuy0a.jpg

The month started off with a long International Break which Bernard welcomed to get his stars back from the physios. The first game was a home match against Nice to be followed by Liverpool.

The backups played against OGC Nice and should be able to come away with something.

OYu6Qm.jpg

Another Speedy Striker took advantage of our high line and scored. The team fought back well and tied the game with a cannon shot from super sub Palaversa as time expired.

The next game was three days later and Soccer Superpower Liverpool were visiting Clermont. They had a Star-studded lineup.

vVN72U.jpg

They had sold Firmino and relegated Sane to the bench in there places they had Ansu Fati and Mbappe!

Both of whom spent their time torturing our now terrible defense...

TdWYz7.jpg

g8ygl7.jpg

This game wasn't even as close as the stats say and we played well up front...

It was a tough defeat and it shows we have a lot of work ahead of us...Unfortunately we played OM about 5 days later.

NXlkqE.jpg

After Liverpool, OM seemed manageable but neither side really could get anything going.

A draw was fair.

Two days later the Backups played newly promoted Havre AC at Stade Gabriel-Montpied

WqVmOT.jpg

It was a professional day and the backups put in good work!

The final match was a trip to the "Death Star" in Paris aka Parc des Princes.

It was a contest against PSG that would be looking for revenge.

7obU8J.jpg

The boys played tough and it was obvious that PSG are no where near Liverpool but finally their quality told.

and in an ironic twist:  Paul "Sergio Ramos" Pogba injured himself badly during the game.

Regular Season: October 2025

October is another busy month and crucial since we are slipping in form. Six fixtures and an International Break. Two fixtures are almost certain defeats as we are still not ready for Champion's league football. The Ligue1 matches aren't much better with trips to St. Etienne and Monaco on the itinerary.

UhtmrQ.jpg

The month opened in Milan and even though we played well we still lost even tried a 4-1-4-1 Wide to mix things up.

We came home to a match we should win against Toulouse. They had been playing well the starters were rested.

CbLrGt.jpg

It was one of the most frustrating matches of the career...we were FMed. Arsenal's backup Goalie IRL 2020 in game made 12 saves. They scored off a Longthrow in the 86th minute on their 3rd shot on goal!

We then tool a trip over to St. Etienne against a team that was floundering like us.

hW2P8I.jpg

It was quite the ride wasn't sure we were gonna win...we were lucky.

We then traveled to Madrid and played the backups...since the starters were shaky and tired.

8HAica.jpg

They won easily...

That led us to come back home for a match against Rennes always a tough match.

rjcsJ4.jpg

Maximilliano Romero had his best day in a Clermont shirt and the entire team played well.

That gave us a week to prepare for the AS Monaco game that would be tricky.

fF22CW.jpg

It was awful the team played like they never kicked a ball before...

The Board is investing in the Team!

Your group in Europe is ridiculously tough. League form is not bad, there have been some tough fixtures in there but it was a good point against OL and only 1-0 against Qatari All Stars.

Thanks for the vote of confidence....both of my last two Champions League groups have been Groups of Death.  It is like the game is trolling me...lol

League form could be better...we play great or horrible and sometimes we play good and end up facing GK's having the game of the Career!  Toulouse took 3 shots and their GK save 12-14 out of 21 and the misses were horrible 8ft to the right or over the bar headers!

We also have plenty of great days, and a number of awful ones too. But it's realistic for both our clubs to be inconsistent like this.

I've also had plenty of these draws in the CL. Focus on finishing third and then seeing what you can do in europa knock out phases. That's often better when you're not quite ready for CL football yet.

Not Possible I am setting a record in futility in the CL...

I am aiming for Europa Cup place for this current season.

Regular Season: November 2025

November only has five fixtures due to another International Break. Three in Ligue1 that should be winnable and Two CL matches that will be losses.

fUUVSd.jpg

The first match of the month was a visit from Athletico Madrid...

The press had noticed our CL futility....

5mSHpG.jpg

and this match was no different...

JEliAa.jpg

The backups were no match for Athletico's World Class players...

9uqYJF.jpg

At least now we can give up the pretense even though we had.

1LJftk.jpg

Five days later Clermont hosted SM Caen...

zmkTUM.jpg

It was a professional job and we looked like we could play football.

Unfortunately during practice a few days later...after the International Break...

SR7yqH.jpg

Then we visited FC Metz

Z2hY9R.jpg

Unfortunately Irvin Cardona went down with an injury.

rTKLyf.jpg

Both of our Main players go down to injury!

Jaby is out for 3-4 Months!

We visited Anfield and played mostly Backups except for Neco Williams, who used to be a Liverpool Player, but couldn't unseat TAA as RB!

bNv6mB.jpg

The game went as one has come to expect.

On the last day of the month Clermont hosted Bordeaux at Stade Gabriel-Montpied

It was a good victory!

Regular Season: December 2025

December sees 6 fixtures and a mini-break for the Holidays. Four matches are in Ligue1 and 1 match in CL. The final match of the year is a friendly at Camp Nou. (Barca invited us and offered $1M dollars)

iaNY6H.jpg

The third day of the month saw us head to Nimes for a winnable contest.

BD9HiH.jpg

Bernard opted for a half rotated squad since the team would be playing 3 matches in one week!

The match was another good outing.

Three days later Clermont hosted former Coach Rene Weiller's team and it was a fiery affair.

ISN4Os.jpg

The also half rotated team stepped especially after Strasbourg went a man down.

Maximilliano Romero belted a late game winner.

The Media noticed our good League form...

3xJHta.jpg

The Youth Intake looks bad we may get two players...

qsqHRx.jpg

For the final Champion's League match held at Stade Gabriel Mont-Pied, Bernard decided to start a full strength Squad. Just for respect is nothing else.

IseDBg.jpg

The game was probably the best we played this year in Champion's League. I thought we would Steal a win, but Ciro Immobile dashed those hope with a last minute strike.

But at least we didn't lose and the $997k also helped our pride.

In other news: "Big Brother" St. Etienne got a big name manager...

gJb1B4.jpg

The 13th saw us visit Angers FCO and we started the backups...

v3kVer.jpg

Matias Palacios and Panaversa were subbed on during the second half and rescued the win!

and that was our 6th straight Ligue1 Victory.

hZGqNG.jpg

Eight days later Clermont hosted LOSC Lille and it was a meeting of two streaking teams.

 h1yvTw.jpg

We had the better of it, but just couldn't score. This is the 4rth Shutout by LOSC's Goalie against us.

So retained our unbeaten streak...

bvujgS.jpg

heading into the midseason break at Christmas we are doing ok in the league.

League Table and Team Stats

hivQvn.jpg

On the 28th we headed down to Barcelona for a Friendly. Bernard played the best team available..

IW6k5N.jpg

and got a credible result.

and the Joker Transfer Window in France closed.

MbazOw.jpg

We were not involved even though we almost made a Big Splash we tried to bring Limbombe-20A back to the club. Unfortunately even after a concerted effort We decided $26.5M was too much!

Player of the Month

Ante Palaversa

HVkxGX.jpg

This Croatian Midfielder has been a mainstay in the team since his arrival. He does an incredible job and finally got some notice. Even though he has gotten pay raises because Bernard knew how good he was the fans haven't really warmed to him.

Great progress in the league and it's a shame the draw with Barcelona wasn't one of your European fixtures! It's a sign that you can compete with bigger clubs though, keep up the good work.

Barca was filled with Regens, but class and I played a full strength team minus Jaby. My analysts noted that they had trouble against the 4-2-3-1 Wide. They wanted to practice and we gave them a game.

I think my team is good, but probably more of Europa League quality than a CL Team. I have some good players but no truly great players,

I am slowly upgrading the quality of the team. I just sold a Two Star CD, DM, MC that I kept around for his being HGC. I checked his scout rating it was 38!

Regular Season: January 2026

January would be rather busy with between 4-6 matches and a International Break and the Transfer Window!

h3o5lt.jpg

The month started off with a trip to Bordeaux for the 9th round of the Coupe de France.

8E61ib.jpg

It was a tight affair and Bordeaux took us to extra time!

A week later we headed to FC Lorient and played a struggling Orange side.

TjwcqN.jpg

They put up a fight but we were better on the day.

The Next day another of our Star Players signed Long-Term!

Pakca1.jpg

Three days later we played National Side AS Saint Priest that had old hand Isaac Samba in their team.

vb7asv.jpg

We did not play our best but still won.

About ten days later we played OL in Lyon always a tough match.

cZcvEg.jpg

It was a game where neither team played defense and unfortunately they scored more than we did.

Three days later LOSC LILLE came to town we expected a tough match...

k48ygC.jpg

It was a blowout. Myziane Maolida came off the bench and scored a brace.

Our former player hand in a Transfer Request...so we submit a bid...

WDa0eG.jpg

On the final day of the month we played RC Lens...

Here were the major deals of the Transfer Window

y71B3I.jpg

Stanislaus Limbombe-20A is coming home for $12.75M dollars!

He will battle to lead the line next season as OM trolled us and the contract was signed after Ligue1 Registration had concluded!

Good progress, very solid form in the league! Bad luck particularly with that Jaby injury though.

What position does Limbombe play?

Limbombe plays Striker, but the DLF Role. I would have trained him as an AMC had I been able to keep him. He was the one player out of all my intakes I would have kept.  It won't be an Ideal transition because I like Romero and he is getting upset.

Another reason for Limbombe is HGC for European football and I want to get rid of the last holdovers from when Clermont was Ligue2 that aren't good enough. They are taking up pay and spots on the team that could go to better players.

Transfers: January 2026

Stanislaus Limbombe-20A

fM2RWz.jpg

He is our most expensive player ever at $12.5M, but never should have been allowed to leave.

Chrislain Matsima

cpRDUi.jpg

He is a true BPD and slots in as Backup BPD and helps the quality of the Backline.

Davide Ponsat

ZAkBbV.jpg

Took a bit of a flyer here but going to try and get another HGC out of the deal.

He was sold for $755K in March of the first season. The Board overruled me they thought it was too much money not to take. They had never sold a player before that.

Regular Season: February 2026

February would have six fixtures. Five in Ligue1 and one in Coupe de France.

0ADP0U.jpg

The first match was a trip to Nice. OGC isn't a bad team just foundering a bit.

jtrofk.jpg

The team went down early but made up for it with a display by Palacios!

Four days later OM came to town. We weren't able to play Limbombe against them.

SVJv8s.jpg

It didn't matter Palacios kept up the great play.

Four days later we took a trip to FC Nantes of Ligue2 for the Quarterfinals of the Coupe de France.

VNMj9N.jpg

Stanislaus Limbombe-20A introduced himself to the fans!

and we are rewarded with a trip to Monaco!

CJwCmL.jpg

Four days later the team headed to Le Havre for a match against Relegation Threatened Havre AC.

dKYA66.jpg

Bernard's hubris got the better of him and he played the backups. The game started well but soon went down hill to a humiliating defeat.

Five days later the Galactic Empire arrived in town for a match at Stade Gabriel-Montpied.

Bernard was hoping for a rebound win.

0FEZYV.jpg

fRJ0yf.jpg

It was a godd game and exciting. We went down early came back took the lead and Harry Kane scored in the closing minutes to draw.

The last day of the month was a trip to Toulouse. It was a winnable match.

5AoBkR.jpg

It was just one of those days. The Toulouse GK made 10 saves!

Palacios has been lighting up the scoreboard lately which is more than I got him for...I wanted deadball specialist that would set up the striker and Inside Forward and chip in with the occasional goal.

Limbombe really looks outstanding, it must be great to have him back even at such cost. Palacios is also a good player to have in your side.

You're still getting some fine results, very well positioned in the league again.

Regular Season: March 2026

March is a short month with four fixtures in three weeks because of the International break.

ZlWMwZ.jpg

The month starts off with a trip to Monaco for the Semi-Final of the Coupe de France.

It is a winnable game, but will be tough because Rafa Benitez has a good outfit.

yEUNkv.jpg

Said Arab opened the scoring El Shawatt answered and we went to extras. Palacios came on scored in the 117th minute what was thought to be a winner only cruely denied a minute later. The match went to penalties and Palacios was the scapegoat!

wvyWkM.jpg

UXQij5.jpg

Four days after the agony of the loss to AS Monaco, Clermont hosted "Big Brother" ASSE. Their New Manager Ronald Koeman had some disparaging things to say about the boys.

The Team used it as fuel to beat them 2-1.

In other news Olympique Marseilles got a new manager...

TUNde2.jpg

He left a good job at LOSC Lille...

And we have a new Youth Intake...

GGumGQ.jpg

And Vice-Captain and HGC Brandon Baiye signs a long term deal!

GnG7qO.jpg

Baiye has been in excellent form playing in place of Nael Jaby this season. Even though his place has been taken by Palaversa in the BBM role.

On the 15th, Clermont headed to Rennes for another winnable match.

CIaSev.jpg

The game was awful.  the team couldn't buy a goal hitting the post 3 times and then were beaten on a counterattack in the last minutes....

Five days later just before the break we had our chance for revenge against AS Monaco...

fCG9cH.jpg

and it was a backup striker that scored!

League Table and Team Stats

W0WZlj.jpg

During the International Break this Bombshell landed on my desk!

OKVpSd.jpg

In any other save I would have attended the interview.

Player of the Month

Nael Jaby

The midfield metronome slid back into the side like nothing happened playing as well as ever even if the results haven't been perfect.

Another fairly good month for you. You've really got affection for Clermont, I'm pleased you don't care to talk with Dortmund.
