Database Setup

The database that I'm using in this save is Helsvenskan by Justus that I got from Steam. This database contains the complete Swedish Football League System.

I have made changes to the database by creating my own football club. I have also loaded Realistic Injuries by majesticeternity and Language Overhaul - Increase the Immersion by majesticeternity, in order to make the save more realistic. 

I have only loaded the Swedish Leagues in order to be able to keep the game running fast.

The club I have created is in the Division 6 Skåne Norra which is the 8th tier of Sweden, the database is down to the 10th tier in Sweden or as it is named Division 8. 

The team I created is in my home town in the southern of Sweden and since the Swedish League divisions are based on where the teams are from, the lowest a team from my home town can be is Division 6 (Tier 8).

This is the managers starting attributes. In coaching badges I went with what was recommended, but with past playing experience I went with one higher than what was recommended.

The manager that I created for this save was myself.

Perstorps BK

Now I have taken over as manager of Perstorps BK and the media is skeptical to my appointment as manager because I'm not a promotion specialist.

The media predicts the team to finish second in the league and the board wants promotion within 2 seasons, so I have some work cut out for me. Facilities front it is the bare minimum, the stadium is the biggest in our league which we share with our city rivals Perstorp Bällinge IK it has a capacity of 1.500 (400 seated).

At the start of the game we have 3 players in the media dream 11. When it comes to our division and the rules, there is 1 automatic promotion place and 2 playoff spots, the biggest challenge when it comes to the rule it is that we are not allowed to sign non-EU players.

For those who are not familiar with the Swedish league system and it's rules, here are the basics:

The disciplinary rules are more strict compared to the English ones your players gets suspended after every 3 yellow cards and every red card for 1 match.

7 subs on the bench and you can use 3.

Players

This is the players we have at the start of the game and I'm pretty happy with this. We are lucky that we don't have any non-EU players at the club. I had one test save where I had 2-3 non-EU players at the start that where good players for our division.

Staff

We only have a Assistant Manager at the start of the game, I would like be able to bring in at least a Head Physio, Chief Scout and Head of Youth Development. Our Assistant Manager Ricky Simpson is okay for now but I would like to improve on this staff position in the future.

Club Info

The club was founded in 2020 and it is the 3 of February 2020 that this save starts. We are a Semi-Professional club with a obscure reputation which isn't surprising considering it was just formed this year. This plays in to me wanting to make this save as realistic as possible. We have 3 local rivalries with clubs that are very close to us and 2 derbies, one of them being with the other team from Perstorp. The facilities are as I mentioned before are very bad, but teams this far down in the Swedish league do not have good facilities.

Finances

Ours finances looks acceptable. All currencies will be displayed in Swedish kronor which is the currency in Sweden, in order to increase the realism and since I am from Sweden this will not confuse me.

For those who don't who where the Swedish krona stands relative to other currencies here are some general guidelines:

£1 = 12 kr

€1 = 10 kr

$1 = 9 kr

We do get club membership money since like almost every team in Sweden we are a Member Owned club. We do get a grant from the Swedish government as all other clubs in Sweden.

The projection does look good however I have gotten the feeling from FM20 that the financial projection in pre-season is very far from what the financials will look like at the end of the season.

Pre-Season

This is my formation and first choice 11 at the start of pre-season I haven't decided on what my tactic will be. I am leaning towards playing some type of attacking style of football.

We get 2 new kit sponsors from local companies, which will bring in some more money to the club and money in Football Manager is never a bad thing.

We get our first staff hire in this save, Chief Scout Alexander Svenlén-Ekeros. He is not good at all but he was the only one to reply to the advert.

We are still favored to be in the promotion battle this season. Which is good since the board wants us to get promoted next season.

Squad numbers have been assigned.

We haven't even finished pre-season and we have already had a takeover rumor. The club finances are still good and the club is brand new so I find this very weird.

Our Captains this season is A. Olsson and V. Olsson.

The pre-season finished with 7 Wins and 1 Draw in our 8 games, but the teams we played where far from the best. I am happy with the pre-season. 

Considering that the games we won, was very convincing wins over slightly weaker teams. In the pre-season we scored 34 goals and conceded only 4 goals.

This is the squad ahead of the first game of the season. I haven't made any signings to the team because I didn't fell that there any position that I wanted to spend money on and all possible improvements to the squad that I found wanted a lot of money.
