Moved 3 players for decent cash. Aslan was the unexpected one as he wanted a 5k per week contract and threw a hissy fit  :idiot:

Brought in 3 (two from my parent club on loan)

This fella is tipped for great things and we have him locked down for two seasons for a reasonable fee.

Young German DC who is as good as any I have at my disposal arrives for a zero cost loan for 2 seasons. Much needed depth in central defence as the 2 back ups I have are only regional level players.

I am pretty happy with the squad now and only position where I am looking out for is another DC, preferably on loan.

Scouting meeting threw up couple of intriguing options with a young DC from Schalke and young striker from Newells on trasfer list and interested in coming over. Made a bid for both, but the DC seems to be tough to land with a host of Bliga 2 teams bidding. Have offered a contract and awaiting his response. The striker was easier to snap up, so in he came for half a million.

The scale of the task is hitting the squad now. 3 of the 5 conceded goals were long distance rockets and our midfield and strikers are struggling. The cup victory will hopefully give us some positive momentum, and the fact that the South African youngster hit two goals after coming on as a substitute (after working his way to fitness after arriving injured).

Struggles continued till Halle came around and we scored a huge win. The result in next match was even more impressive and Nurnberg is the opponent again in the cup tie coming up next. The points picked up so us placed comfortable above relegation spots.

My back up team did me proud in the cup. Gave a very good account of themselves as I rested my starters for a league match in 3 days time. Shout out to @Jimbokav1971.. That's my GK that scored the penalty and the first one in the shootout.. Unfortunately he was not much good at stopping them :(

We lost the cup and thew away a 2 goal lead against Zwickau, but I am ecstatic at how the team is performing. The new strikers are firing and we picked up 3 huge wins over the month to settle into comfortable mid table.

Team had been punching above their weight and the positive momentum continued this month an sees us in 4th place at the end of the month. Lost a comfortable first half lead against Union Berlin who struggled for 70 mins and then scored 2 in space of 2 mins, but we fought back with a late late goal.

2 games this month and the 4 points see us perched in 2nd spot. Paderborn is steamrolling competition and looks un-catchable up top. Made my GK take a penalty in the match against Darmstadt after my striker missed 2

We gave the league leaders a scare by outplaying them comprehensively in the first half, but they came back strong in the second to rescue a point in a pulsating match. My team have started to play some decent intricate passing play from the back, which makes good viewing.

Had some interesting news in the scout meeting as the Jan window was opening. My team let me know that the current German youth GK is available at Bayern, with a fee between 1.5 to 2.5 mil. The fella is not exactly at the level of Toure, but can match his potential. The problem I am having was that Toure was locked in till next season and my youth facilities not up to scratch if I bring in him (and would have to play him more than I would like to). Tried the loan back trick in reverse and proposed a purchase with 2 year loan back, and somehow Bayern played hardball for 3 million fee. Paid up and offered the youngster first choice keeper and he was wiling to negotiate and accept a 1.5 season loan to Bayern youth

I shattered our transfer fee and the board is a bit pissed with the signing. However I have a replacement to step in as Toure moves out and the youngster utilizes Bayern's facilities for the next 1.5 years. Hopefully a win win for all concerned.

The win against Sandhausen was special as we came back from a first half deficit and one of our stalwarts had a first ever goal for the club in his 3rd and last season here.

Heart break at start of the month, but we came back stronger. Ther mantra seems to be that we will score more than whatever the opponent score. Toure is nearing a comeback after the injury and his presence is being missed in the defence.

The team is doing well, but there is a worry that's creeping in...

c45ce0a68c4a398b7ed9914af9e8e5bc.png

...the team is over-reliant on our loanee stars and only Simunovic is on a 2 year loan (apart from the GK). The defensie recruits have been immense and I would really struggle to replace them. That's why I was really happy when this fella became interested in negotiating terms

Early mover advantage. South American scout pointed me to this fella. Decided to lock down the target before we got 100% scouting knowledge as I was really impressed with what I saw. Had to negotiate hard and put in some appearance and goal based bonuses that will push the price over a million and 20% of future transfer profit.

Massive massive month. We lost a critical game but fought back to pick up vital win against Union Berlin. Really in the middle of the promotion mix with 3 games to go.

Realistic expectations from the board and they are building a 16k capacity stadium. Managed to negotiate away yehir preferences for defensive play and maximising set pieces. Both were not a stong point of my teams so far.

Tranfers

78d1e568c067ec1acb3c8d24935df3a0.png

Marchetti was a freebie who had joined us couple of seasons back and was a solid performer. But he was asking for too much and was upset when I was unwilling to negotiate contract. The move of the striker to Bodo/Gilmt is up for next month somehow.

Incomings include 2 for the future with Ayala slotting into my 2nd team and Slavko moves into my u19s. Both are highly rated by my scouts and my coaching staff agree with the assessment.

Alex brings in competition at LB position, but might struggle at this level. The player was released by Valencia after 173 games for their 2nd team and 1 game for their main team. No fee means it is a very low risk move to cover my team's main weakness.

0784b9b7b90e47900a1997efea3e5f7a.png

Yuri was listed and the scouts reckon he could do a job in the first team and Marc Nilis was brought in as back up for my CDs.

08a656f860fb3ef7cfc0c5e8873f76cd.png

But the player who I am most excited about is this fella who was in his last year of contract and listed at Rapid and my scouts wanted me to pursue him at all cost. Spent most of my budget and beat off a pack of mid table Italian clubs to his signature and hopefully he will fill in for the departing striker and reduce our dependence on Ndlovu

da7f8bfa9410dac93c05c138eae11483.png

2872e8dcdf6e3e3eff6c6fbbd48ae9ed.png

That should conclude my business unless someone makes a move for my first team stars. Ndlovu is getting some interest from German clubs and is unwilling to discuss terms, but he is on a very long term contract :D

I kept pretty much my trusted 442 but cut down from attacking to positive in tactics and moved to an AF/DLF combo instead of P/TM forward line. Had the craziest start to the league I could have imagined and before I knew it, I had already covered the second match in month 2 and hence the joined update.

The start have been unreal. I expected a drubbing at RBL, but we sneaked through. Had 2 strikers out for a month and my back up TM stepped in and had been on fire. Expected a drubbing against Gladbach, but we deservedly won.
